Break Up

Kate: we are breaking up
Shua: but atl-
Kate: I'm going, I have class

Facing her back, she went away. 2 years.. 2 years we were together and this is what I am getting after loving someone with all my heart. My heart feels heavy as rock, feeling something warm coming from my eyes, i quickly went away from there to our shared class wiping all the sorrow in form of tears in my eyes

Vernon: hey bro, why are you coming so late? Is something wrong? You seem off
Shua: I'll tell you later

Break Time

Vernon: what the fuck- how could she just break up like that? There must be a reason
Shua: i don't know I don't know. It's just hard for me to even breath, I'm not feeling well
Vernon: you wanna take a half day?
Shua: no.. I can't afford missing any lectures

A guy came in and.. and he holded Kate by her waist, she seemed uncomfortable. Without giving any thoughts, i approached them and removed his hand from her waist harshly

??: Hey hey hey bro, what are you doing?
Shua: shouldn't I be the one asking you that? How dare you touch her without her permission?!
??: Who are you to have such concerns for this young lady?
Shua: I'm her boyfriend!

Without thinking I blurted it out, i totally forgot we broke up

??: Let me introduce myself then, I'm Kim TaeJoon, Lee Kate's Boyfriend and I have right to touch her
Shua: s- so you broke up with me because of him?
Kate: I love him Joshua, i kind of lost feelings for you.. you should move on
Joon: thank you so much Joshua for this, if your love was enough, she wouldn't date me
Vernon: break is almost over and you should head to your respective class, mister
Joon: okayy, bye sweety

He gave a small peck on Kate's cheecks and went, i just stood there staring at her pink tint face with tears flowing down my cheecks

Kate: stop crying like a baby Joshua. You should just move on from me, i always told you to never take our relationship so personal

I just stood there silent, feeling all broken

Vernon: hey bro, you completed your homework right?? Please lend me your book

Vernon took me to our seats

Vernon: i know it will be hard but try to forget her

Y/n's POV

Y/n: What in the world?! They broke up?! They have been dating for 2 years straight!
Nao: shh go slow girl, we are in the same class as him and he is sitting right beside our seat
Y/n: whatever but did you see the guy coming in and all?! Oh god shua seemed so broken
Nao: ofcourse I did, i was just sitting beside you plus it's a good thing, you will have a chance to date your crush
Y/n: wow I never realised about it-
Nao: try to get him now before he starts dating someone else
Y/n: yes!

I took a look at him and he was crying, oo poor him

Y/n: hey shua~
Shua: h- hi
Y/n: here, some choco shake to cheer you up!
Shua: thanks

1 Week Later Joshua's POV

Vernon: How you feeling bro?
Shua: not good at all, i always feel hurt seeing her with him
Vernon: try to date someone?
Shua: I'm not interested in dating anyone, i just feel like hating her but i can't-

We were just talking when Kate entered with TaeJoon, this time he kissed her on her lips and went to his class

Vernon & Nao: she got no shame-

I looked at the bench beside mine and saw Nao, one of my classmates saying the same thing with Vernon bymistake

Nao: i- i was j- just saying be- because this is a school and they shouldn't be doing stuff like that-

Y/n's POV

y/n: Dumb why did you say it loud?
Nao: sooryyyy but did you see how synchronised I was with vernon?? It was funnn and even Kate heard us
Y/n: whatever

I looked at their direction and had an eye contact with Joshua, he looked back at vernon without any emotions, he surely got no interest in me

Joshua's POV

Vernon: you don't want to date, nor you feel like moving on. Your life surely will get worst
Shua: what should I do now??
Vernon: try to make her jealous
Shua: how?? By changing myself into a stylish, mean, cold and rich guy?
Vernon: ac- actually you already are all of them
Shua: wHaT?! But I'm sweet gentleman who never shows he is rich
Vernon: nope
Shua: i was living under the rock

He pointed the bench beside us

Shua: nao? What about her?
Vernon: noo the one beside her
Shua: y/n, what about her?
Vernon: date her-
Shua: I said I don't wanna date plus I don't want to hurt her feelings cause she might think I'm just dating her for me to make it easy to move on from my ex and more importantly I don't have feelings for her
Vernon: oh gosh Joshua Hong! Let me atleast complete my sentence!
Shua: what is it?
Vernon: see, she always helps you with various kinds of stuff and even tried to make you feel better by giving you drinks and snacks everyday-
Shua: but i don't like her- i do but not in that way
Vernon: are you going to let me complete my sentence or no?!
Shua: sorry sorry
Vernon: okay, so she is always caring and friendly towards you from the starting since we are in same grades, even Kate has observed it. Don't you remember whenever y/n used to approach you, kate used to get all red? Kate hated y/n because she thought y/n might take you away from her. Use it as a chance to make Kate regret her decision of breaking up with you
Shua: and how is that going to help? I'm not going to date her
Vernon: make a contract kind of thing with y/n, like fake dating
Shua: and why would she agree?
Vernon: if she really thinks of you as her friend, then she might cause you are super duper down for the whole week and I can see worried expression on her face
Shua: fine I'll ask her about this in the lunch
