Luna: The Alpha's Only

Chapter 16

Chad

I sit next to Alpha and Max, listening to someone come upstairs. Actually about three people. 

"I told you to stay away," Luke says, stumbling in. He was obviously drunk. 

"Luke, calm down," I hear her and stand up as she walks in. Her beautiful sight was ruined when Zeke walked in after her. 

"Chad," she nods and looks down. I knew I hurt her and that's why she would never love me. She deserved it I know. Zeke walked next to her and stopped by her side. 

"Zeke," Max says and Alpha glares at him with his chin up. Zeke looks down at his feet.

"What did I do to deserve this," Alpha says, standing up. He walks towards them all. Luke growls and steps toward him but Luna stops him. "Still protecting the enemy, Luna?" He grabs her chin and traces his other hand down her body.

"Alpha," I protest.

"What," he glares at me. "I'm just playing." He walks towards Zeke, who still had his eyes on the ground. Before anyone could process what happened, Zeke was on the ground, holding his face. Alpha had hit him.

"Zeke," Max exclaims and Luna leans down to help him. He lightly pushes her away.

"No," Zeke says, standing. "This is my fight. I am so tired of you treating me like your son!" Alpha smiles."Your my brother and I'm sick of being abused by you." Zeke brings his fist towards him but he stops it. He flips Zeke over.

"Stop it," Luna exclaims. He brings his fist up to Luna but someone pounces on him. I look and it's not Luke nor Zeke. Alpha shakes Max off of him.

"Traitor," Alpha smirks. He turns into his wolf.

"Max, no," Zeke says.

"I can do this," Max says.

"Good luck with that," I mumble under my breath and Luke glares at me. Max turns into his dark red wolf and circles with Alpha. 

"You know after all this," I say. "We never figured out why you were here."

"You took William and Gracie," Luna says.

"No we didn't," I chuckle. "We're not that insane."

"Wait, what," Luke says. "Then where are they?"

"How should I know," I reply. 

"My brother, you idiot," Zeke exclaims. "If we didn't come here, he wouldn't be in this situation."

"And what do you want me to do about it?" I smile.

"You really are a jerk," Luna says. We had our eyes off of them but when we all looked, Alpha was on Max's neck. He bit down so hard, that Max couldn't take the pain. He turned back into a human and Zeke took off his shirt to cover him. Max was bleeding so much that Zeke began to cry.

"Max," he says. "You're such an idiot." 

Zeke

I was crying. Max was bleeding and losing blood at a rapid speed. 

"Max," I said. "You're such an idiot."

"I did this for you," he said, weak. "I couldn't let him hurt her. Or you." He winces and closes his eyes.

"Max, I swear," I say. "Don't you dare leave me for one of your idiotic actions."

"I'll tell mom you say hey," he says and I sob.

"No," I say. "You won't. You'll stay with me. Stay!" It was too late, he went limp in my hands. "Max! Max! Wake up, now! Wake up!" I was broken.

"Now wasn't that a nice death," Isaiah says. Luna gasps. She runs over to me and hugs me. I was crying.

"You'll be all right," she comforts me. "Shh, I'm here." I pretty sure I was squeezing her but she didn't care.

"No," I sob. "He needs to come back!"

"He can't Zeke," she says. "He's gone."
