Luna: The Alpha's Only

Chapter 3

Luna

    I run towards the hospital with Chad's hand in mine. While, we were pulling in the driveway, I got the call from Gracie that Luke was awake. I didn't bother getting back in the car, I just started running.

    "Were here," I say, out of breath. "Finally." Chad nods as we run into the hospital. I run up the stairs as Chad checks us in. I find Room 207 and open the door. Luke stares back at me and smiles. I run towards him and leap into his arms.

    "Well someone missed there big brother," he said and I felt him smirk.

    "Only by three minutes," I say, almost in tears. Chad walks in and my brother glares at him. He hated him.

    "What's he doing here," he whispered in my ear.

     "Luke," I whispered. "Don't." That's all I had to say. I walked over to Chad and sat next to him. He grabbed my hand and smiled. I look over at Gracie and Luke, and you wouldn't doubt that they love each other. They were smiling and gazing at each other.

     "Luna," Chad said and I looked at him. "I don't mean to be cruel to you."

     "Chad," I say. "It's-"

     "No it's not," he interrupted. "I love you and I want you to know that." I smile and lay down on him.

     "I love you, too," I say as I drift off to sleep, unsure if I meant it.
Chad

    I hold her and watch her sleep. I was happy that she said she loved me. I loved her, even though I barely showed it. I look over at the boy who looked just like her. Luke hated me for hurting his sister.

    "Why would do you hurt her," Luke asked as if he was reading my thoughts.

    "Luke," Gracie says trying to stop him.

    "No," He says. "I have the right to ask." He glares at me.

     "I can't control my anger," I reply.

     "So you take it out on her," he says.

    "I wouldn't mess with the Alpha if I were you," a familiar voice says and we turn. William Penderfield. He was the beta of another clan in New York and also Luna's ex British boyfriend.

     "William," I say. He glares at me for taking Luna away from him.

     "Chad," he says, angrily. He looks down at her and smiles. "Darling, is sleeping, isn't she?"

     "She isn't your darling," I growl.

     "She was," he says in his cocky British tone. "Until you took her away by force." I realize then that Luke planned this. He smirks.

     I feel Luna stir awake. She sees William and sits up fast, knocking my head.

     "William," she announces in excitement. She jumps up and hugs hi. I realize then that I'm not wanted here. I get up and leave without acknowledging a farewell.
