You were never an easy sleeper. Your nights would be met with racing thoughts from days prior, turning, tossing, constant adjusting; overall just pure restlessness. So, when it came time for your new boyfriend, Doyoung to stay over, you were nervous because he didn't know about your sleeping habits.
Nighttime soon rolled around and after a long day spent with your lover, you both were in dire need of sleep. The both of you got ready for bed, changing into your pjs and slipping under your soft, warm comforter. Doyoung gently kissed your cheek before resting his eyes.
*timeskip it's now like 1am*
Soft shuffling noises were heard from you. Doyoung, awoken by the commotion, turned the small bedside lamp on, illuminating the room and your restless figure.
"Jagiya, is everything okay?" Doyoung asked while putting his glasses on, giving him a slightly dorky look that you found somewhat adorable.
"No! Everything's not okay! I can never get a good night's sleep! My mind doesn't know how to shut off so I'm left with racing thoughts and-"
Doyoung grabbed your hand, making you make eye contact with him. He had you take a few deep breaths to calm your rushed speech. To which it surprisingly,,, helped? You did feel a little bit calmer than before.
"How about I sing you to sleep? Would you like that?" Doyoung asked while showing a closed smile, which managed to make him look even cuter than before.
"Uhhhh,,, s-sure? You can try" You replied while getting comfortable.
Doyoung dimmed the lamp down, making the room just a little bit darker than before, whilst leaving enough light to see you. After a quick vocal warmup consisting of finding the right key to sing in and the instrumentals on YouTube. Shortly after, he began to sing a melodical song, one that had elements of a music box, jazz, and overall made you feel all warm and fuzzy. You adored how his vocals made the song feel warmer than ever. You gently scooted near Doyoung and wrapped your arms around his torso. Your eyelids felt heavy, and soon enough, you escaped reality and fell into the dream world.
As Doyoung finished the song, he heard light snores coming from you. He saw how your cheek smushed into his arm, giving you a slightly pouty expression. He smiled as he gently laid you down, making sure to not accidentally wake you. He turned off the light completely before giving you a gentle peck on the cheek.
"Good night, my 별빛 (star blossom)." He said before venturing off to the dream world himself.
