"I'm sorry."

Buster opened his eyes to hear that familiar scared voice as he realized that he was in the cell with the younger fifteen-year-old version of himself named Daniel. Buster gazed at him with a frown.

"I didn't mean to bring you pain," Daniel said while hugging his legs, the scars on his back growing. "I didn't know what to think or believe. I'm sorry."

Buster examined Daniel and the more he looked at Daniel, the more he realized something that he didn't really give much thought to.

Daniel was just a kid. Daniel Rambo was just a kid who was accused of the things he didn't do. He's an innocent koala who had to live with the lies of his uncle and succumb to the scars on his back that the hyenas gave him. Daniel couldn't do anything to change anything. He couldn't change the past no matter how much he wants to. Buster knew that since he was once Daniel Rambo. Now thinking about it, Buster realized that maybe he went too hard on his past self. Maybe the circumstances that he'd been through were not his fault. His uncle put him through hell and his father was the only person who seemed to love Daniel as Daniel until the theater group came along. They all knew he was Daniel Rambo but they knew that Buster preferred to be called Buster. But even then, they don't think Daniel was a murderer.

Buster frowned while looking at Daniel. "I'm sorry."

Daniel gazed up at Buster, mirroring his ocean blue eyes.

"I'm sorry I locked you in here...I'm sorry I saw you as the world saw you. You are not a murderer. You are not a dumb kid. You're scared...and you have every right to be...you just went through something traumatic...more than once. And I'm sorry I shut you in here."

Daniel's scars were slowly healing but not as rapidly as one would hope. "You know...I like that name. Buster Moon. It has a nice ring to it."

Buster smiled softly at Daniel. "It does, doesn't it? I thought so too."

Daniel hugged his own legs. "I thought Daniel Rambo was also a great showman name. Too bad it had been tampered by my uncle and...everyone else."

Buster frowned while looking up at the cell door as he saw the light peering through the door. "It wasn't your fault though." The light grew brighter and brighter as Buster closed his eyes to accept the warmth.

It wasn't your fault.

...

Buster heard voices and then static noises. He felt a soft cushion holding the small koala as he lifted his eyelids open. All he could see was dark green. He moaned while his throat felt dry. The koala turned over to face the ceiling.

"Are they still out there?"

"No, I think we're safe for now."

Buster groaned to hear the familiar voices as he noticed a familiar lion coming into his vision with a teacup and a soft gaze.

"Buster?" Clay called softly to see that the koala was awake.

"C-Clay? Hey," Buster greeted with his voice hoarse while sitting up and rubbing his head. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing alright. How are you?"

Buster rubbed his head. "Just a minor headache."

"Well, here, it should help you with your headache," Clay said as he handed the teacup to Buster.
