Nancy hadn't been in the theater since she noticed Mike was missing. She's searching for Mike not only because she couldn't perform her number without Mike but she's worried about him since the other night. He said that he witnessed a murder and he had no idea whether he's hallucinating or not. What's going through Mike's head at that moment? Where did he go? These were all the questions that were bombarding the female mouse's head.

There were so many tall animals walking by her as she felt dizzy from spinning around to find where to start searching for Mike. She was knocked off the sidewalk by someone walking by, who's not watching where they're going. She fell into the sewers with a yelp. She landed onto the bricks with a huff as she looked up at the animals passing by the sewer without a care in the world. The female mouse groaned while hearing someone coming up behind her.

When she turned around, a hand covered her mouth before she could squeak. There's a black-furred mouse with an eyepatch and a stern stare. He raised his finger to shush her while gazing up to make sure that she wasn't followed.

"What's going—?"

The black-furred mouse took her by the hand quickly and led her through the sewers. "You're lucky that you weren't followed."

"Followed? By who?" Nancy questioned with a brow raised.

The black mouse didn't answer as they entered a secret city of black mice found underneath the ground. The buildings used were just boxes and cardboard found in the sewers. The candles were lit up all around to give light within the city.

The black mouse led her through the small streets where the mice were staring at her, making her white fur stand out among all the black mice.

Nancy had no idea what's going on or who all of those mice are but it didn't matter as the black male mouse led her inside of the box that contained an empty room full of tables and seats. The mouse shut the door behind him.

"What's going on?" Nancy finally asked him. "Who are you?"

"The name's Malcolm. I don't suppose you know who I am."

Nancy shook her head.

"I figured. Where did you come from?"

"Crystal Theater."

"No one was following you, right?"

"I don't think so," Nancy uttered nervously. "Wait, why am I supposed to know you?"

"I'm not asking you to know who I am," Malcolm said while looking around the room. "I'm not asking you to know who we are. I'm only asking because I wondered if the media ever covered our story."

"What story?"

Malcolm sighed deeply. "So, I assumed not."

"Okay, okay, pal, I'm searching for my boyfriend since we have this act together and he hadn't been in the theater for the past day. Unless you know where he is, I need to get out of here," Nancy stated firmly.

Malcolm went silent for a moment. "You and your boyfriend are working for Jimmy Crystal?"

"Well, I would say Buster Moon but we're working under Jimmy Crystal. Why would you ask?"

"Because we used to work for Jimmy Crystal and let me tell you, you and your boyfriend need to leave as soon as possible."

"What?"
