What They Say

52 20 6

Wash it all away,

Watch it be carried in the flood,

See it be cleansed with your river of tears,

To rid yourself of dried blood

You are not who you once were,

You are jaded, you are changed,

You are broken, but stronger,

Oh, isn't life strange?

It takes you down this path,

It makes you hope, believe,

Then it gives you an unfulfillable task,

One that you cannot meet.

They say, "Just smile" "Be happy" "Be fine",

But how can they say that, when I hurt all the time?

How can they act like its ok when its not?

How can they disregard my emotions without a single thought?

They tell me to brave the storm,

One that they'll never have to face,

They don't see how it leaves me torn,

How my scars never will fade.

But I see you, by the moonlight,

I see your laughs, your cries, your smile,

And oh, you are a glorious sight!

Come, sit and talk awhile.

My dearest friend, don't you ever forget,

You will always be loved by me,

As long as Romeo loves his Juliet.

***a/n: Hey loves! This was kind of a darker, heavy one today. Sorry I just needed to vent. Stay safe!***
