Hold On A Little While (A Collection of Poetry)

As You Slip Away

You're pushing me away,

With a demon in your heart,

You're slipping through the cracks,

Into the dark.

There is poison in your veins,

There is fire in your blood.

You slip and fall down,

Into the mud.

You sink deeper and deeper,

You can't break free.

You are at the threshold,

You cry "Help me!"

But no one comes,

No one makes a sound.

You drift into endless sleep,

With no one around.

Death welcomes you,

As you knock on it's door.

You wish you could go back,

You will breathe again nevermore.
