Unexpected Fate

Chapter 5

We got up from sit and leave. Ryan, Jena, Rory and Lucas have their classes and the other hand I and Xavier have free period. We see off each other.

Xavier drags me to an empty classroom and leaves my hand. I quietly close the door and lock it.

I place my hand on his shoulder, he turn around and hugged me tightly. After sometime he pulls away and sits on a desk. I walk towards him, stand between his legs. Silent fell over us.

"Xav, Talk to me." – I tell him sweetly in small voice.

"I thought she liked me also. She always talks too sweetly. Always pay attention to me. You know, I really liked her... She is such a sweet girl." – He said.

He is so hurt. Usually Xavier is not like that. When he tells me that he liked someone that's mean he really liked that person. If not, then he would not tell me.

"She doesn't know that you have feelings for her and also she always liked Lucas. And I know that from the beginning that's why I encourage Lucas to peruse her." – I told him carefully.

He did not reply me. So I continue – "you know Xav it's really okay and this is happened all the time with everybody around us. I know you are a good hearted person and you will get a good girl who is made for you, who will be loved you, who always stand for you, always support to you. Please get yourself together. Be the Xavier whom I know for my life."

After few seconds he gives me a small smile. Then said – "you know how lucky I'm to have you as my best friend. If not you then I don't know how I can handle myself."

"You know I loved to be Mrs. Xavier Knight just to handle you for your rest of the life." – I reply him with a teasing smile.

"Okay so are you proposing me indirectly? If that, then I'll think about it." – He said giving me a playful smile.

Suddenly we realize our closeness. Then our eyes lock and his eyes fell on my lips. He stare my lips and I his. We slowly lean towards each other and we kissed.

Electricity ran through my whole body. He kissed me slowly, taking his time. His one hand grips my hair and other hand rest on my waist. He depends on the kiss and my legs got jelly. He holds me tightly to him. When we got out of breath, we did not break the kiss. We kissed like our lives depend on it. Then he leaves my lips and gives me small kiss on my jaw line and lastly kissed my forehead and rests his forehead on mine. Our eyes closed we panted out if breath.

Suddenly I though, I just kissed my best friend. This is also my first kiss.

And with this though I open eyes, to see him already watching me.

Then our eyes go wide and reality hit us hard.

I free myself from him, then unlock the room, ran to the ladies toilet to hide myself from this embarrassment.

I look at the mirror and I thought in my mind 'I just made out with my best friend and he liked someone else. This is bad. This is really bad. I should have stopped him. That was wrong but why I was feeling it is right.'
