Unexpected Fate

Chapter 11

Raya pov:

I walk up feeling someone runs their fingers into my hair. This feels so good. Then I open my eyes and see the person is Jena.

When she notice that I move my face to see who sat beside me, she gives me a small smile and give me a glass of water.

I took the glass and drink the water. After drinking I give the empty glass to her to put it on the table.

"How are you feeling?" – she asks with a concerned face

"Better. Thank you." – I reply and look down at my hands.

Jena took my hands in her. When I look up she gently smiles at me then speaks in a gentle voice– "Raya, I know you are not feeling good. I understand that after knowing the truth you have to take some time to digest it. But remember one thing clearly we don't care if you are a Stone or a King. We always love our RAYA, support our RAYA, help our RAYA, and stand beside our RAYA. No Stone, no King. Only our RAYA. It's not important that which family from you belong, the important matter is the love, which you get from all of us. So do not stress yourself about that."

I just stare at her then give her a smile – "Jena you are so thoughtful. You know, I'm so happy that you are Ryan's girlfriend. You are a good match for him. Thank you Jena for telling me this. I really needed this to face everyone."

"You don't have to thank me because I learn this from you. You are my inspiration, I admire you from our childhood and I wanted to be just like you kind, thoughtful, selfless. You are the sister which I didn't have. So thank you for being my idol" – She said and wraps her hands around me.

And I didn't hold back anymore. I cry holding her and she gently patted my hair and let me cry on her.

'Thank you, god. Thank you so much for this love, which I get from them, thank you for you choose this family for me. I don't know how my real parent is and I might not understand the urgency about giving me away. But I also thank them for that. Thank you, momma - papa.'

After 1 hour of my mental breakdown, I free her from my grip.

"Now go and fresh n up, then we go down to meet everyone." – She said nodding her head towards the bathroom.

Nodding my head I walk towards the bathroom that has attached to my bedroom to fresh n up. When I see myself in the mirror, I couldn't recognize myself. There is stood some girl who has red puffed grayish eyes, teats stain on her face, and hairs are like a bird nest. Basically, I look like a pure mess.

After seeing myself, I quickly strip from my clothes to get into the shower. After showering I go to my walk-in closet and get dressed in PJ then walk down to the living room.

In the living room, my mother and Mrs. Knight sat on our beige sofa that setting in front of our big 55 inch TV. Dad and Mr. Knight sat on the dark beige color sofa. I think they are discussing something about a serious matter by the look on their face.

When I and Jena walk closer to them, mom first sees me and quickly comes to me happily.

"Oh, dear!! You wake up. Thanks to god. We were so worried about you." – Mom says hugging me. dad is the next. I hug them tightly.

"Princess, come and sit here." – Dad said holding my left hand.

While walking to the sofa I notice there is no sign of Ryan and Xav. Jena asked them like she read my thoughts –"mom? Where are bro and Ryan?"

"They both went to walk around near neighborhood for some time. Don't worry they will come in a few minutes." – Mrs. Knights replied. Jena just nod at her mother's reply and sat beside her.

They all look at me. Then dad asked – "Princess how are you feeling?"

"I'm fine dad. Don't take stress for me. After knowing the truth it hurts but I have to live with this. I'll be fine. Don't worry." – I said while looking down at my hands.

"Baby we know that after knowing all of this you would have so many questions. Ask us all your queries; tell us all your feeling. We are here to answer your all questions. But you always have us. You are our daughter and we are your parents. This is us. Please do not be mad for not telling the truth before. We didn't think it would happen like this. We thought we will tell you at another time. Not like this. But not everything happens as we wish." – Mom said while wiping the tears away from her cheek.

Tears also gather in my eyes. But I've to be strong for them. They should not see me like this. I mentally tell this myself, and then look up to them while giving them a small smile.

 "Mom, Dad? Please don't worry about anything. I'm fine. You both didn't do anything wrong. You are done the right thing. And I'm proud to be called you daughter." – I tell them with a genuine smile.

After listing me they both smile brightly at me. and Jena hugs her mother with a smile on her. They are happy too.

"Thank you, princess, for understanding us. You are very special to us. We could not get any better daughter than you." – He said smiling at me.

"Ray, now Raya is feeling good and accepting the truth, I think we should focus on the main issues here." –Mr. Knight tells dad in a serious manner.

"Yes. We should tell her what we are thinking. We have to make the decision because time is running out." – Mrs. Knight also speaks. I looked at them, they all look so worried about something.

"What is it? What are you guys want to tell me?" – I asked them. they don't tell me right away.

After a few minutes - "Baby we already told you about the marriage thinks. You have to get married next week. Because there are some people who follow you. We don't know what will happen At any moment. So you have got married to avoid the critical situation. We are not allowing you to go and submit yourself to the mafias. So this is better if you get married. And it will be best if you married in night family" – after dad says, I look up at him surprisingly listening to the last line.

"Knight family? You mean Xavier?" – I asked them dumb folded.

"Yes, baby. We want you to marry our Xavier." –Mrs. Knight said with hopeful eyes.

I shake my head in no " it's not possible. what are you all saying? What if something bad happened to him because of me? In which situation I'm in there is a possibility they could hurt Xav and his family. I don't want to involve them in my mess. And besides, we are best friends. We didn't look at each other like that. How could you suggest this?"

"We know dear that you both are best friends from your whole life. And in any relationship, there should be friendship between persons so that you could understand each other. So I think it's a positive side of this arrangement. And you have my words that there will nothing can harm us. Because you don't know about our power and Xavier is fully capable to protect you and himself." – Mr. Knight said to me.

"Yes, Raya, I and your mother also think it would be good for you. And this is the best solution we ever get. Because we are don't want to give your responsibility to some unknown family. We would be less worried if you married Xavier. We are known each other for years and they have that power to protect you from something like this. So please think about it. We don't have much time." – Dad said in a gentle manner to make me understand.

I don't know how to reply to them or what to think. So I thought it is best that it takes some time to think. Nodding my head I said – "I'll think about it."
