Unexpected Fate

Chapter 10

After talking and listing to our parents I and Ryan leave the house for some time to get some fresh air. It is dinner time, Ryan's moms prepare dinner for us and my mom is helping her. Jena is still in Raya's room and she is still sleeping. Our dads go to Mr. Stone's study to discuss something.

We walk towards the park that was close to their house and sat down silently. Ryan took the cigarette packet from his pocket and gives me one.

Yes, we do smoke but not every day, when things get out of hand or we are stressed in business for some issue then we do smoke. Like Ryan, I also help my dad with his business. And I'm pretty good at it. I've brains in computer and technology where Ryan's brains ran on business management. Because we want to start our own business together, for that we took the courses in our junior year at high school. So that when we graduate then we don't have to complete our 3 years of college because we already have what we needed to start our business. And also we are having some practice with helping our father's.

After some time sitting in silence, Ryan spoke "you remember in our childhood we come to this park to play? And Raya running around in this park so happily. We couldn't catch her because she was so fast in running."

I smile at that memory."yes, I remember. And when we sat down on the grass getting tired of running after her, she stop and came to us with a pout on her face. And said 'what are you eating, you guys don't have the strength as me.' And give us a proud smile"- I said and we laugh at that memories.

"You remember how we play home sweet home. She and Jena always having us wrap around their figure."

"Yes. And how she got so worried if any of us got hurt. I remember when my mom scolded me I go to her while crying and she hold me all night and fall asleep beside me."

"When I tell her that I love Jena she got so happy then give me an hour lecture that if I hurt her what would happen to me." – he says with a laugh.

We both laugh at that and chit chats for some times more, then head to the house.

In our way, he said –"you know I did not think that she is not my own sister. We had known as in twines. I just can't believe how some people are so cruel out there. I mean they send men to kill a little baby. Who does that? And now they wanted her back to use her as an object."

After hearing his angry outburst I got angry more. I mean how someone can do that to their own people. The thought of hurting Raya makes me kill someone.

"Have you thought about the arrangement?" – he asked after a few seconds of silence.

 "I don't know man. You know that I and Raya are best friends for years. Now suddenly how could I become a husband to her? If you told me about dating her, then it might not be a problem, we might be giving it a try but marriage is another thing. We love each other but as a friend. And I know that Raya wants to marry someone who loves her. And I'm not that someone, at least right now. We don't know what our future held for us. And most of it you know me. Do you think a guy like me would deserve to her? 

and then also I don't want to marry her to any other man, because she is my best friend for ages. and her life always around us, she doesn't even know how to kill a fly. if the man who is married other than I doesn't give her value, which is she deserves, she doesn't know how cruel out the world is. " - I sigh taking a puff of the cigarette. 

"I know that Xav. I know her concept about marriage. But in this situation, we don't have any other way. If Raya has to be married then I personally think it's better than it would be for you. Because you both known each other from childhood. You both understand each other too. In a relationship its matters the most. And we, who loves her, will be relieved. And I know you. You are capable of it. Because you have a very smart and calculative brain and also you are champion in an underground boxing competition. So if anything goes wrong you can handle the situation very easily"

 "That's the problem, Ryan. I'm involved with underground boxing matches and no one knows about it without you, because you are involved with them too. And you know we have some enemies as well. But my concern is when Raya knows about this how will she react? Is she agreed to be mine? Because of, this type of shit, she has in this situation. I don't know what to do Ryan. And also what you will do when Jena comes to know about this. "

"I don't know about that. But I think you should talk to her about this  to see how she feel about the arrangement, and then think what do to." – Ryan said seriously

I sigh and nodded my head and walk inside the house.
