"Woah, what happened to you?" Fae asked Jack the next morning towards the bruises on his neck

"I rather not talk about it.." he said rubbing the back of his neck nervously

"Are you okay? You know, with what happened yesterday?" She asked

"I'm fine, I kind of don't want to talk about that either.."

"You know, what she said isn't true at all, there are people that loves you"

"I know.."

"Have you seen (y/n)?"

"Not since last night" he answered

"Weird.. usually she's the first one I see"

"Oh, so I'm not the favorite one?" He asked playfully offended

"No no, she's just my bestie"

"No, she's mines" he stated crossing his arms

"Ours?" She questioned

"Mmm.. no, just mines"

"Oh shut up!" Fae shouted giving him a little nudge playfully making him laugh

"Hey you two" you spoke up, walking towards them when they turned to face you

"We were just talking about you, you're late" Fae said standing beside Jack

"What about me exactly?" You asked

"Just wondering where you were and also this bozo over here not willing to share your bestie roll with me" Fae said crossing her arms towards him

"It's not happening" he said back also crossing his arms

"You two are just childish" you scoffed

"Are not!" They both shouted in unison before looking at each other

"Right.." you drifted off before shaking your head

"What happened to your dress?" Fae asked now changing the subject

"I putted it up, I don't want it to get ruined so soon" you answered

"It was so pretty, I'm surprised this bonehead hasn't noticed it, or even made a compliment about it"

"Why would I compliment on how pretty she looks in it when she's prettier" he stated making you bite your lip, flustered

"Pfft- you're corny" Fae laughed putting her hand on his shoulder

"Am not!" He argued

"Well, it's officially the second day of winter" you spoke up getting their attention

"Yeah, meaning cold nights and hyperthermia, here I come!" Fae exclaimed sarcastically making you and Jack laugh when your laughter faded off as you stared at Jack

"Is that another bruise?" You asked walking up to him as you rubbed the bruise on his neck with your thumb

"Yeah.. didn't notice it either until she mentioned it" he answered

"Looks darker than the one on your nose"

"Because it's a new one" he simply said

"How new?" You asked

"Last night new, considering the fact that you should've noticed it sooner if it wasn't" he answered when you froze

After realizing what he was hinting towards, you immediately pressed your forehead against his shoulder, hiding your face from embarrassment
