She walked on, towards the city. When she was at the beginning of the city, Rhiannon could make out the sounds of explosions and screams.

She knew it was her parents and the others in battle. Rhiannon made her way to the side of a building, thinking of being at the top of it.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos."
She whispered, feeling herself melt into the wall. She found herself at the top of the building, and a sense of pride washed over her.

She ducked as a piece of shrapnel from a car came flying at her.

Rhiannon looked over the edge, watching the heated battle. The criminal was Red X, that she knew from her trips into her father's study, which, she was not supposed to go into.

Red X was one of her father's worst enemies, as he had once been Nightwing's alias.

Rhiannon had read in a file that her father had even tried to negotiate with the villain.

But here this man was, trying to steal from the bank. He was tall, fast, and knew how to fight.

Rhiannon saw Nightwing attack him, punching at his stomach, but Red X dodged the attack, leaping backwards, in front of Raven.

Raven used her dark energy to lift him up, throwing him with ease at the building Rhiannon crouched on.

Red X got up though, and threw an x shaped sticker at her mouth. Raven pulled on it, but it was stuck there.

Cyborg ran full speed at the masked villain, but Red X disappeared into thin air. Starfire and the Changeling looked around, trying to find him.

Rhiannon pulled her cloak around herself, having put on her costume before she left. She looked around the area below, confused.

Suddenly, Rhiannon felt a presence advance towards her, and he turned around to see Red X, running at her.

Rhiannon's eyes widened beneath the mask, but she managed to jump out of his way. She fell backwards, scrambling to her feet, in a fighting stance.

Red X laughed, keeping his distance. He had been given strict orders not to hurt the girl badly.

"So you're the two birds kid? I imagined you shorter."

Rhiannon raised a brow under the mask, cocking her head.

"I'm sorry to disappoint."

Red X stepped closer, eyes trained on the child's mask.

"Not disappointed. Just surprised. Let me guess, you go by Blackbird?"

Rhiannon laughed, an emotionless laugh. Just like her mom did when facing cocky criminals.

"Nope. Nightingale."

She had discussed a superhero name with her mom, and had chosen Nightingale. To Rhiannon, it sounded mysterious, just like she wanted.

She had a hand on her hip, very well aware of the advancing man. When he was almost a foot away, Rhiannon reached into her belt, equipped with gadgets, and pulled out smoke bomb. She threw them down, jumping off the building's edge.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
She stopped slowly, levitating in the air. Rhiannon looked behind herself, noticing Red X on the building, looking around, confused.

Gifted with the power of empathy from her mother, Rhiannon felt the anger coming off of him in waves. She then felt something else, fear, but not from the villain.

Rhiannon looked down, seeing her father, staring up at her. Rhiannon's eyes widened as she felt herself fall.

She flailed around, trying to grab on to something, anything.

But there was nothing to hold onto. She tried to focus, but couldn't. Rhiannon felt the earth coming closer, and closed her eyes.

To her surprise, Rhiannon didn't hit the ground. She opened her eyes, and found herself staring into her father's mask.

His jaw was clenched, and he held her, bridal style. He set the girl down, speaking through clenched teeth.

"Get in the car. Now."

Rhiannon didn't think twice. She took off for the T Car, not daring to look back at her father. She felt the anger bubbling inside of him. And the fear. Fear of losing his only child.

Once at the car, she opened the door, getting herself inside and locking the door.

Cyborg was in the front, hands on the wheel, looking back at her with alarm.

Starfire was seated next to him, and Rhiannon saw that she, too, looked confused.

The Changeling was seated next to Rhiannon, his eyes wide.

"Uh, hi?"

She managed to squeak, before pulling on her seatbelt.

"Rhiannon? What are you doing here?"

Cyborg looked at her, seeing the costume.

"I, uh-"

She was cut off by a voice on the t comm installed in the car.

"Cyborg, don't ask questions, just get her home. We'll talk about it there."

Nightwing explained, signing off.

The ride home was silent. Rhiannon was playing with the fabric of her cloak, while listening to the rap music playing on the radio.

Cyborg was driving silently, finger tapping to the rhythm of the music.

Starfire was playing with her hands, having an internal battle determining whether or not to speak. In the end, she chose to stay quiet.

The Changeling was watching Rhiannon, trying to figure her out. She was like her mother: mysterious, quiet, and barricaded when she wanted to be.

Rhiannon caught him staring, and frowned slightly. Changeling smiled weakly, but Rhiannon turned away, worried of what was to come.

She knew she was going to be yelled at, chastised, scolded, however you wanted to put it. She would be grounded, probably confined to the tower, not allowed to leave. She would most likely have to be watched 24/7.

Because of her, there would be a teammate missing in battle.

She sighed, watching as Cyborg pulled into the garage. He parked, turning off the car. Unlocking the doors, he pulled himself out, watching the other two Titans do the same.

Rhiannon lingered for a moment, thinking of what to say. Cyborg interrupted her thoughts, speaking.

"Come on, kid, you don't want to keep Raven and Nightwing waiting."

He gave her an apologetic smile, holding out his hand.

She took it, standing up, ready to face the madness.

Together, the two walked through the door, and Rhiannon found herself whispering the three words that once gave her mother solace and control, hoping it would do the same for her.
