Nightwing stared at his daughter as she pulled off the mask. He had been scared, and mad at her.

Raven was meditating, trying not to lose control of her emotions. Rhiannon would be in so much trouble.

Rhiannon had her head down, walking forward to her parents on the couch.

"Dad? Listen, I'm so-"

But he didn't let her finish. He went off on her, and let her know how he felt.

"Rhiannon! How could you? You know you're not ready! And you know that The Joker is after you! So why would you even think to go out? You could have died, or gotten taken!"

She stared at her shoes, not daring to speak. Somewhere in the distance she could her a lamp shatter. Her emotions were going haywire inside, and she knew she needed to take a trip to Nevermore.

Raven eyes her daughter, slowly hovering down, and finally into a sitting position on the couch. Her words were short an emotionless.

"Never again."

Rhiannon looked up to the sound of her mom's voice. She could see Taft beyond Raven's emotionless stare, hidden in the depths of the amethyst, was fear. And Rhiannon thought she saw s little pride, too.

Nightwing was pacing, chewing his lip like he always did when he was nervous. He had thought Rhiannon was dead when he saw her jump off the roof. His immediate instinct was to catch her. And thank God he did, or else she would have been seriously hurt.

He had only felt concern like this for one other person. Raven. And that was eighteen years ago. When he was 17. And Slade had gotten to his wife. Well, girlfriend at the time.

The point was, Nightwing had been scared for his daughter, it was like replaying his parents death. Them falling. Crashing.

He shuddered, waving the memory off. Raven was instantly standing beside him, stopping his nervous steps.

Raven. She had been afraid. Especially when Nightwing had pointed Rhiannon out. She was in her costume, fighting Red X. But deep down, Raven was proud of Rhiannon for being able to hold her own.

She had only been in a few days of training, and already knew how to levitate. She had trusted her instinct. Which made Raven proud.

But, still. Rhiannon was not to go outside. Not when there was a villain on the loose. Not when The Joker wanted her.

Raven looked to Rhiannon, who was sighing, defeat splayed across her features.

"Mom?"

She asked weakly.

Raven instantly responded, going over to h her child.

"Yes, Rhiannon?"

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to be a part of something. Of The Titans."

Raven looked her in the eyes, dead serious.

"It's not all fun and games, Rhiannon. People die out there."

Rhiannon nodded, feeling that she understood. She had seen death in her nightmares. Death of a man in a black suit. Death of a boy in a red suit. Even death of her own parents.

But after all, they were just nightmares an probably meant nothing.

Right?

Rhiannon shook her mental turmoil off, listening to her mother.

"That was dangerous. You could've have gotten taken, or worse. Killed."

Nightwing looked down at her, the concern evident in his blue eyes.

Rhiannon's shoulders sagged as she sat on the couch, speaking out loud, to no one in particular.

"I just wanted to be a part of a team."
