"You got a hold of her?"

Nightwing ran up to his wife, who was currently standing a top of a mutilated table. The two had went out searching for Rhiannon, and, in their pursuit, had gotten into a fight with Dr. Light.

He had only lasted an hour or two before going down, losing to Raven's death threats. Of course, Nightwing had gotten hurt in the process, protecting Raven.

After everything was done, and Dr. light was on his way to prison, Raven had gotten the call from Rhiannon, and had felt her mind open up.

Of course, Raven couldn't let Nightwing come. She had promised her daughter she would go alone, to prevent any fighting.

So now she had to come up with an excuse, and a good one at that. Raven knew Nightwing could detect lies, especially from her. She remembered the time when he had told her he knew her tells.

It was during a game of chess, back when she was 17. She had lied to him and told him she wasn't mad that she lost. Nightwing had laughed, and soon the two had gotten into an intense lying battle, which, he had won.

Raven bit her lip, trying to think up of something to say to her husband that wasn't a lie, but also wasn't the truth.

"Yes..."

"But?"

Raven sighed, going for it.

"She wants me to talk to her first. I think her emotions may be acting against her. I think it's best if I go first, and call you when she's ready to speak. When she's calmer."

Nightwing studied her closely, and Raven felt as though he wouldn't buy it. But he nodded, sighing.

"Ok, but, Rae?"

She winced at the nickname that hadn't been used for a long time.

"Yes?"

"Be careful."

Raven nodded, kissing his cheek, then teleporting herself to the tower. She walked through the front doors, seeing Cyborg and Beast Boy in the kitchen.

She felt something off about Cyborg, and decided to confront him. She pulled him to the hallway, cocking her head.

"Something wrong?"

She poked at him verbally, sensing it had to do with Rhiannon. Cyborg wasn't one to keep secret from er, and Raven was sure he'd crack.

The Tin Man sighed, trying to cover up his guilt. Raven suddenly knew why he was hiding.

"Cyborg.....you knew about Arez?"

Cyborg nodded, keeping his eyes away from her. He knew she'd be ticked off at him, for keeping this from her.

Raven pinched the bridge of her nose, disappointed in him. But the words he spoke made her realize that she was wrong.

"You know how I feel about secrets. I keep them. I kept them for you and Rich didn't I?"

She nodded, rolling her eyes. Cyborg put a hand on her shoulder, motioning for her to go to her daughter.

"I advise you go there now, I have a feeling she's not alone, Rae."

Her nickname. Twice in the same day. Today was obviously not her day.

Raven shrugged him off, going towards her daughter's room. He took a deep breath, preparing to once again meet Red X's son.
