Which HP book was your favorite to read and why? I re-reading the books again and I'm loving Half-blood prince.
3rd Person POV
"Gather round! Gather round." Gilderoy Lockhart orders his class. "Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In the light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little Dueling club to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves. As I, myself, have done on countless occasions. For full details, see my published works." He tosses his cap into the crowd, and a group of girls fond over it. "Let me introduce my assistant...Professor Snape." Snape walks onto the dueling stage opposite of Lockhart. "He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now I don't want any of you, youngsters, to worry. You'll still have your Potions master when I'm through with him. Never fear." They pull out their wands, getting ready for their duel. They bow and walk three paces away and face each other. "One. Two. Three."
"Expelliarmus!" Snape yells first, and he sends Lockhart flying back to land on his ass.
"Do you think he's all right?" Hermione asks Ron.
"Who cares?" Ron brushes it off.
"An excellent idea to show them that, Professor Snape, but if you don't mind me saying." Lockhart gets up and approaches Snape. "It was pretty obvious what you were about to do. And if I had wanted to stop you, it would have been only too easy."
"Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, professor." Snape suggests. Lockhart forces a smile at Snape's blatantly challenging his authority.
"An excellent suggestion Professor Snape. Well... let's have a volunteer pair. Potter, Weasley, how about you?" Lockhart asks Harry and Ron.
"Weasley's wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a matchbox." Snape argues. "Might I suggest someone from my own house? Draco Malfoy, perhaps?" Snape suggests. He motions for Draco to get on the stage. Draco eagerly does as Snape orders.
"Good luck, Potter." Lockhart whispers to Harry as he passes him.
"Thank you, sir." Draco and Harry walk towards the center of the dueling stage to face each other.
"Wands at the ready." Lockhart instructs.
"Scared, Potter?" Draco taunts.
