Everest paced back and forth—They were taking too long.
She bit her lip in anticipation and she unbuttoned her jean shorts—pulling them down her legs before kicking them off.
Suddenly they popped back up out of the water and Everest rushed to the edge of the boat.
"You guys saw that?" JJ asked after he took a gasp for air.
"Yeah." Pop responded.
Kie smiled, "Yeah, I did." She chimed in.
"So there's really a boat down there?" Everest asked looking at the three of them.
"Yeah." John B laughed.
"It's a Grady-White," JJ informed her with a smile.
"No way!" Everest laughed.
"Yeah way—A new one of those is like 500 Gs, easy," JJ added as they swam towards the boat.
Everest leaned over and extended her hand out for Kie to take which she did.
"Thanks," Kie uttered as Everest pulled her up and onto the boat.
"No problemo," Everest replied.
"Okay! That's a primo rig." JJ spoke as he searched through his bag.
"Yeah. That's the boat I saw when I surfed the surge. Maybe it hit the jetty or something." John B spilled making Everest groan mentally... that was supposed to be a secret.
"You surfed the surge?" Kie asked looking at him worriedly.
"Yeah..." He trailed off.
JJ laughed, "That's my boy. Pogue style." He said and they did a handshake.
"What the heck?" Kie asked her and she shrugged.
"Pope and Everest went too."
Everest groaned as Kie eyed her with wide eyes.
JJ then cocked his head at her too—he knew she didn't know how to swim.
"Wait—wait. Do we know whose boat that is?" Pope asked walking towards them. .
