Chapter 7

Adira pov

3 years later

"Adira come on let's play" Audrey told me for nth time today. "ok ok crybaby let's play, stop whining. what do you want to play?" I told her cause if I say no to her one more time, I knew that she would definitely start to cry. Since she was the only friend I had, I was so sacred that if I made her cry, she would too stop being my friend.
Instantly she started to giggle." I wanna play hide and seek you go hide I'll find you"
"Ok Mel" since her middle name was melody, I always called Mel, she didn't mind it. But she only let me, my mom and her parents to say her that. It was like a family name to her.

Mel started counting so I went to find a place to hide. I went to the pack house and hide under the staircase. I was there for about five minutes when I heard footsteps. I looked in front of me for a happy faced Mel but only met with Sean with a smug smile in his face.
"Hey there beautiful how's your day you will come with me to my room now huh?"
That's it I knew my happy day was doomed now because of the devil himself.
Since he's alpha's son I couldn't say no to him. So, I have to follow him or when he got me alone consequences will be bad so bad than normally. After we entered his room he looked at me with a smirk and grab my hair in his hand brought me near his face "we don't have much time now ha" then started to punch me in stomach and started yell at me saying "you bitch it was all your and that bitch of a mother of yours fault that my mom died so die" I couldn't stand the pain and fall to the floor so he started to kick me. I started to yell asking for help.

" Adira darlings wake up wake up" I opened my eyes to see my mom. I looked around me and realized it was all past and now I'm free from him. " Oh, dear it was just a nightmare don't be afraid and stop crying"
Mom wiped my tears and hugged me till I calm down. But I knew that it wasn't just a nightmare it was a memory, a painful memory.

Since Davien left for his alpha training, I've been dreaming about my painful memories at night. It was almost a year since he went to spirit walker pack for his alpha training, he left with Jace and Gareth who was our future beta and gamma. Their training started when they were 15, although Gareth was still 14 when he left; he wanted to go with them, so they all left last year. All next in line alphas need to go to spirit walker pack to their alpha training when it's time. Davien said it was because spirit walker pack was the oldest pack to build and their alpha family was descendants of moon goddess and so much more, but I didn't pay attention to that cause I was busy staring at his handsome face. What he may be 15 but he's handsome.

I didn't remember when I fell asleep after the nightmare but when I woke up, I was wrapped by strong arms from the sparkles and sandal wood and ocean scent I knew it was Davien. It was so warm and nice to stay in his arms. But it was not for long since he said "hey beautiful I know your awake. Open your eyes" with a deep chuckle. I open my eyes to see his beautiful eyes.
"Good morning" he said
"morning" I said while closing my eyes and putting my head in his chest.

Davien pov

Jace, Gareth and I finished our alpha training sooner than we thought. We can only finish our training only if the alpha and other two elders from spirit walker pack. They told us yesterday that our training was over we were so excited. It was almost a year since I had seen my princess, sure we massage each other whenever we both free and video call every night to see each other, but I still miss her deeply.

We went to the room that we shared for while we stay here. And started to pack. It was nearly midnight we, mostly Jace and Gareth wanted sleep, so we decided to leave tomorrow morning and went to sleep. I couldn't blame them the training is intense and normally when the training is over all soon to be alphas are exhausted. So, every night we all went to sleep straight. That's why I call Adira before our night training session begins. Since it's late I decided to tell her tomorrow before we leave that we'll come in few hours.

After two hours I was still wide awake as sleep didn't come to me because I was so much excited even to sleep. So, I decided to leave now without Jace and Gareth. I left a note before leaving our room saying that I left to the pack.
I drove for two hours; I was so tired but wasn't sleepy just for a bit. I was so excited to see my beautiful mate. I am now lot more taller, tanner and from all the training I got a well-toned body. Now I'm not that skinny boy who was year ago. Well, I wasn't that skinny, but you know the deference before started to work out and after; that's what I'm talking about. And also because of my alpha genes I sure looks great than normal wolves. Werewolves usually look better than humans, but higher rank wolves looks better than normal wolves.

I can't wait to see her reaction to me, my height, my looks and my presence. I parked my car at our driveway. Only to meet by a locked door. So, I left my suitcase in my car and went to Adira's home they might be sleeping but Xander and I was restless till we see her, so I tried to mind link Mellisa. I knew her shift started at 5 am at orphanage so she must be awoken by now since it was already 4.30 am.
"Hey, Mellisa, are you awake?"
"Davien is that you?"
"yeah, I came back just now can I see Adira now if it's ok? I cannot get any sleep without seeing her now knowing she's near me."
"Of course, Davien you can I'm going leave now for shift you have the spare key, right?"
"Yeah, thank you Mellisa oh and good morning."
She started chuckle through the mind link and close it. When I got to her home it was only 4.35 am but Mellisa had left. So, I went to Adira's room to meet with a peacefully sleeping Adira. I looked at her for a couple minutes in silence, only to hear a nagging Xander "you are looking at her sleeping for five minutes like sick man" he didn't get nag me more since I block him to back of my mind. I crawled to her bed and wrapped her in my arms and slept besides her.
