Davion pov:

"Man, we really need an elevator I almost hit my as-- "
That's when Jace looked at the girl in front of us. Jace's eyes widened with happiness.

"Mate" Jace and the girl Audrey both told same time.
"MATE.!!!!!" Adira and I yelled at the same time.

I couldn't connect the dots just yet even for a bit. Now I was so damn confused.
How does they know each other? Why do they look alike? How is she's Jace's mate? Ok obviously that is a stupid question because only fate know how is she Jace's mate.
But most importantly isn't Jace gay?

And; ladies and gentleman even though I had a ton of unaswered important questions I asked the most idiotic thing in the world.

Chapter 23

Adira pov

"I thought you said you were gay?"
Davien said breaking the whole silence.
"WHAT?" I asked with wide eyes looking back at Davien. Is this guy crazy?

Davien looked at me with a smirk and linked me.
"Crazy for you babygirl." If I said my cheeks blushed then that was an understatement. Hell my whole body felt hot.
Urgh I would have to get used to this mind reading with marking.

I glared at him for while before looking at my cousin and Jace. I put a mental note to ask davien about this whole gay thing later. He's definitely not gay and he's my cousin's mate.

After an hour of me explaining who Audrey was while Jace shamelessly trying to flirt with her infront of all of us, davien asked the question we all expecting an answer for.

"Why are you trespassing my pack like this, If you were a daughter of a former beta?"
With that question Mel's eyes started to water.
"Mel what's wrong? Did something happend back there?" I asked while getting up from Davien's lap and walking to her.
Something was definitely wrong since full sobs started to escape from her.
I hugged her and caressed her back while telling her everything will be ok in a soothing manner. Jace gripped her hands and squeezed them tightly.

"They.... They killed him Adi. K-killed him."
"Who killed who baby?" Jace asked with a serious expression. I don't know how in the world he just jump from being all bubbly and joyous to very serious.
"Sean killed him. My dad." She said with a huge sob and fell to the floor crying.
Jace knelt down with her caressing her back and hugging her while she grabbed his shirt for dear life. I couldn't say anything. It was like I went mute suddenly. Davien must've felt it as he came next to me and wrapped an arm around my waist pulling me to him protectively. So my back hit his chest.as he kept me close.

"Jace take her to your room. Try to calm her down, once she's calmed prepare her a bath she must have ran for days and I'll link someone to bring some food and girl clothes to your room. let's talk about this later. It must be hard for her. "
I didn't know who he meant by hard for, but I think it's hard for both of us, my mom; oh gosh my aunt she must've been devastated. Jace nodded and picked Mel bridal style then left the room. I think he went to the 4th floor, where his beta chambers situated. Since he's the beta to this pack now he gets the chambers to himslef. His parents and Meredith lives in a house they built for them to live when his father retried from his beta position.

After Jace and Mel left I broke down.
Davien stayed with me hugging me and whispering sweet nothings to my ear till I calmed down. After two and half hours of tears, hiccups and sobs I was calmed down and placed on Davien's lap.
His hands were around my waist.

"Do you wanna talk about it now?" He asked while nuzzling my neck. I smiled as he kissed my newly formed mark.
"You know sean, the one who bullied me at my previous pack-"
A loud growl stopped me from talking. Looking at Davien I realized his eyes were pitch black. I couldn't understand why was that?
"You're his mate. and the fact you were bullied and he wasn't there to protect you made him mad with himself and that prick. It's not Davien present now with you, Its Xander. Calm him down" leona told me.
