Davien pov

I couldn't think anything as she fainted in my arms. I just held her closer to me. Xander was whimpering inside my head because after 3 days our mate wanted to talk to us and then this happened. Jace, Gareth came to the view with Zead our pack doctor and some pack warriors. I growled loudly at them because Adira was naked. The last thing I wanted was all of them seeing Adira like this and inflame Xander more than he was at that moment. All of them bowed. Jace threw me a shirt and a pair short. I put the shirt through her body as her body covered from their view. Then I wore the shorts and took her in my arms again.
"Take the corpses of rogues and burn them. Zead come with me. Jace you're in charge here; after you finish work here come meet me" I order them through pack mind link.
"Yes alpha" all of them said. They all know when to call me by my name and when to not. Cause this is definitely a not.
I carried Adira to the pack hospital as Zead followed us.

I put her in the hospital bet but didn't let go of her hand. Zead came to us with two nurses. "Alpha, we need to remove her clothes to check her injuries" as much as I didn't want to saw her naked to males, she needed her treatments. After inhaling and exhaling loudly few times to calm Xander, "go ahead" I said as a growl scape from my lips. one nurse removed the shirt. After few minutes of checking for injuries Zead started to apply medicine to the wound. But they left open some scratches on her chest area and lower abdomen mainly because they know I wouldn't be happy with them touching what is only for me to touch and obviously because they'll be heal anytime soon because of our fast healing. they put a loose hospital gown and set her to some machines to watch her heartbeat and more. They put an IV to her arm.

"Alpha only her shoulder injury is serious, since she's white wolf her healing is faster like alphas than normal wolves. But her there's some silver in her shoulder so it'll take some time to heal. But she'll heal than an average wolf, she'll wake up soon. We cleared her shoulder and put some bandage. We'll leave you two now but every hour till she's awake and ready to leave a nurse will check up on her."
I nodded. "Thank you Zead"
"Anytime Alpha" he bowed and left the room with two nurses leaving me with Adira.

I sighed as I looked at her. She looks like she's so fragile, but her wolf is badass. She killed three rogues out of five with a shoulder injury. And she was super-fast; I put a mental note to ask her about that later. Before everything I have apologies to her. I looked at her now pale face and give her forehead a kiss to put a shirt that was near her hospital table. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable when she wakes up.

Nakedness doesn't mind much with us, werewolves but when it comes to mates that's a different situation. Alphas are very possessive and protective went it come their mates. So it's natural even if Zead is the doctor he wanted to ask me to remove her clothes. Or else he knew I would have killed or injured him.

After an hour or so I'm still looking at her sleeping peacefully in the hospital bed. Her paleness went away so I knew she is healing fast. It made me sigh in relief.

"Come in" I replied as a knock came from outside the door. I knew it was Jace by his scent. I looked at him as he bowed at me. "Alpha."
"Did you find anything Jace?"
"There was another body, Alpha; A pack member."
Since that first attack, we have lost nearly 10 pack members due to rogue attacks.
"Who" I asked while rubbing my forehead by my freehand. I was holding Adira's hand all this time.
"We think it's phoebe Alpha"
"What do you mean you think?"
"Her face is unrecognizable and by her clothes and faint scent her parents recognize it was phoebe. We searched the whole pack land, and we couldn't find her, and no one has seen her since last night."
"Hold a funeral and for her this week you'll have to take over me as I'll take a leave."
"Yes alpha. And the rouges, their claws were covered with silver."
"That explains why her wounds had some silver; tight the security and put more guards to the borders."
"They are already done. I'll take my leave."
He turned to leave.
"Jace, as much as you're a dumbass sometimes you're a great beta so thank you." He laughed nodding his head.
"Never mind Davien, but I have to say, if you don't take a break you'll be too in a bed. You must be grateful to have a wonderful beta like me." Jace turned to leave while joking. I shook my head, smiling.
That's why he's great for the beta position.
He knows when to joke and when to be serious.

I turned to Adira and sighed again. Xander is whimpering inside my head since he couldn't look at his mate in this vulnerable state.

"Hey baby I know you wouldn't be able to hear me, but I need to say this. It was a mistake, unforgivable mistake baby. But she kissed me first. You came when I tried to push her. Please forgive me. I can't live without you; you are my everything. And I was waiting to tell you that our home is finished now that day. I'll make it up to you for my whole life, please just don't ignore me; these three days were a living hell to me I couldn't focus on anything as my mind is always on you. I - I love you baby. Please forgive me. I love you so much; to the moon and back." I said while holding her free hand from IVs with both of my hands. I put my head on her bed near her stomach. My eyes are clouding with tears and soon a single tear escaped my eye. I couldn't take it anymore. I need her with me. Near me all the time. Without her I'll be a-
My thoughts were disturbed by a angelic voice.

"I love you too..."
