AITANA

I sigh, entering the police station.

I am greeted by a few dark glances, until I see a familiar face: Alexia is here, visibly waiting for me.

"You're three minutes late."

"Sorry, got caught in traffic" I lie, smirking. Of course she smirks as well,  knowing that I was lying to her face, as I ask: "So, what did you want to see me for?"

"Right this way" Alexia indicates, making me follow her.

When I do, even more dark glances are on me: I recognize the two agents - Ana Crnogorcevic and Danielle Van de Donk - who blame me and TVK for Lia's departure, as well as the deaths of many of their colleagues, and coldly stare at them, with no smile on my face.

On the other side of the room, Shelina was also there, with her belly starting to show. I've heard from a source that she got pregnant three months ago after she and Alexia took a quick trip to Barcelona, Spain, in order to be inseminated with the sperm of one of Alexia's childhood friend that has been living there ever since she moved to England - someone they could trust.

I nod my head at her, as she does the same: our contacts have always been nothing but polite. Then, I notice the special badge on Shelina's vest: she got promoted to director of all sections of the London P.D. and MI6.

When I enter the room after Alexia, I realize there are two other agents there: one that I've met already in the person of Lucy Bronze - then private investigator, and now somehow related to the London P.D. - and a small blonde with bright blue eyes who seems to be the new forensics expert replacing Lia.

Quite immediately, Alexia clears the air:

"Bonmati, you know Lucy Bronze already (the Brit just stares at me coldly), and this is our new chemistry genius Magdalena Eriksson. Now that presentations are out of the way, we've got some important matters to discuss. Please sit."

I frown.

"I'm fine just standing, thanks."

"Alright then" Lucy Bronze starts, before putting a photograph on the table right in front of me, "care to explain what you and your crew were doing in London's future mayor's private sponsors party?"

"Care to explain why the police knows Lehmann is involved in Zeka's death is some way and they still don't do shit?" I respond in the same tone.

Alexia rolls her eyes: she didn't need drama right now.

"Answer Bronze's question, please" the Spanish calmly says, setting her jaw.

"Fine" I let out, slightly annoyed, "if you really must know, TVK found a connection with Mrs Lehmann and one of our own - Zeka - murder. It was provocative: whoever is responsible broke into the VIP room and left her body here. We can't just remain seated while someone is threatening us."

"I thought we agreed to shut down TVK's quarters after Jenni's death and my sister left...?" Alexia insists, frowning.

I nod.

"This is officially the last mission of TVK: discover what really went down with Mapi and avenging Zeka's death."

"But-"

"You guys owe us that, and you know it" I say, my eyes fixed on Alexia.

While the Spanish nods, Lucy Bronze, on the other hand, did not seem satisfied. She therefore asks:

"So, you knew God-knows-how that some guy was gonna attack Lehmann, saved her to then eventually kill her?"

"Rosella is infiltrating enemy lines as we speak" I indicate, smirking. As Bronze rolls her eyes, I continue: "We deserve to know what happened, and I thought the police would be interested in our findings since you guys can't act without proofs. So, what do you say now, Queen Elizabeth?"
