(16) THE LAST ONE(S) STANDING

Lia just fired a bullet in the back of Aitana's head.

Their eyes going wide, Christen and Stina immediately react by pointing their guns at Leah, who seems pretty amused. The blonde then immediately proceeds to grab Frida's hair and pointing her machine gun on her temple, madness showing in her eyes.

Christen and Stina stand by, while the latter had been hit by a flying bullet in the shoulder. She grins in pain, while Christen makes her lean against her, terrified. In the meantime, Leah just stares at the three women one by one, before smirking.

Her voice is not even shaking when she says:

"You all deserve to die."

Instead of firing her gun at Frida, Leah just aims toward Christen and Stina, and while the machine gun does the work, Lia fires her own gun at the blonde, whose body drops on the ground, wounded. 

On the other side of the room, Christen and Stina weren't as lucky: both hit in their stomach, they fell on the ground, staring into each other's eyes.

"No!" Lia yells, running toward them. 

But they were bleeding out, and while the brunette thought she would be able to save them, she forgot the fact that Leah was not dead. 

She slowly turns around under Frida's terrified and helpless eyes, while Leah is staring at her, pointing the gun toward her.

Lia sets her jaw. 

"It's funny, I never thought you'd be the last one standing in my way, Wälti: you're surprisingly good. Hence I am going to give you one last chance: join the cartel, and I'll spare you life, and offer you everything you've ever dreamed of."

Lia smirks. 

"You wanna know what I dream of?"

"Sure."

The Swiss slowly gets up, leaving her gun on the ground, smirking. 

"To see your head roll on the ground, bitch."

In the same time, Leah feels a terrible pain on her back when Frida, who just managed to move her chair enough to herself fall on the ground, yells 'NOW'. Christen had reached out for her gun and fired her last bullet, that hit Leah's back. The blonde yells in pain, while Lia picks up a weapon on the ground and points it right at Leah, who manages to roll on her back, that was now immobilized. 

Wining in pain, the blonde just says:

"You're a dead woman standing, Wälti."

"At least I am standing." Lia sarcastically says.

She then fired her gun, killing Leah Williamson once and for good. 

She helps Frida untie herself, before running toward Christen and Stina, who were losing consciousness. 

When the ambulances and the police got there, however, it was maybe too late to save them...

Lia, in Frida's arms, would just have a meltdown, as the two women just lost everything...

The Argentinian Cartel fell into the hands of the FBI, who managed to track down the calls made between Leah Williamson and representatives of the cartel in Latin America ; multiples arrests of higher-ranked hierarchy members were made, while the chief of police - aka Christen Press' father - would be put behind bars for betrayal and murder. 

Remaining parts of the bodies of Shelina Zadorsky, Alexia Putellas, Maria Leòn, Caitlin Foord, Magdalena Eriksson, Lucy Bronze, Ingrid Engine and Ona Battle were found, confirming the death of heroes and murderers.
