A beautiful wolf, one with a pelt darker than the night sky.
A woman so elegant people would stare everywhere she went.
A woman named Sanai.
But even with this seeming everlasting and powerful beauty, she couldn't find what she truly wanted.
Somebody to love.
Somebody who was perfect for her.
She constantly searched and search for someone she felt connected to, somebody she felt she couldn't live without.
But after years and years without results, loneliness constantly attacked her heart.
One day, she decided she had enough, she wondered if any other wolf was feeling this constant pressure of lonely.
She knew the feeling.
She was a single wolf too.
Looking up towards the heavens, she decided there was something she needed to do.
She did what nobody had ever done before.
She managed to sneak into the lair of the God of Fate, and the Goddess of Destiny.
She rearranged the lines of fate, making werewolves able to come across their fated soulmate, knowing they're meant to be together for eternity with just a single look.
So that each and every werewolf could have someone to call their own.
Changing the laws of fate and destiny caused the pretty shewolf to start to fade, losing her life in result of rearranging life itself.
Fate was angry with her, believing she should receive a punishment much worse than death.
Destiny, however, was much more intrigued with the woman, inspired by her devotion to sacrifice herself in order to prevent loneliness for others.
As a reward for impressing her, Destiny gifted her the title of a Goddess of Werewolves.
From that day on, Sanai kept watch over every werewolf, leading each and every one to their other half to spend the rest of their lives as one.
Guiding those who needed her, becoming a strong symbol of love, hope, and determination.
Giving werewolves the hope of knowing no matter what happens, they'll always have their mates to look forward to.
I stared up at the night sky, I gave a large howl of disdain towards the night.
You're wrong! You've paired me to the wrong person! I want my real mate!
"Who's wrong?" I jumped as a quickly turned around, a few feet away stood a long legged wolf who stood as tall as any wolf I've ever seen, slim and elegant.
Though not as impressive as a certain large brown wolf I've seen before.
Her black pelt seemed darker than the night, making any details almost impossible to see.
Her eyes shone white, impossible to read any emotion from them.
That's when I realized, this wolf was speaking to me.
I stared at her, "What?" I asked you a question." her voice was smooth and seemed to overlap with itself, it was so calming I felt a feeling of forced calmness wash over me.
I stared at her, I realized the world around us looked as if it was fading away, everything slowly blurring into one color.
I quickly looked around, scared I'd fall forever.
"You won't fall, you're safe here." the wolf said, "Now speak." I stared at her, "I-" I stopped, I was still in my wolf form, how was I speaking...normally?
"I... Think you've made a mistake.." I started, my voice sounding a lot more weak than I wanted it to come out, she didn't move, "With?"
My throat felt dry before I spoke again, "With.. My.." I cleared my throat, "I think you've mated me to the wrong person." suddenly it seemed like she was frowning.
"I didn't." she answered quickly, "But you have had to!" I replied desperately, "I should have a mate like-" she cut me off, "Like Lexi?" I moved my eyes to the ground.
Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up to realized she shifted into her human form, but unlike most werewolves, she shifted with clothes already on her body.
She was tall, maybe 6'2, her skin was flawless and dark, her hair fell down towards her waist, black and shiny.
Even her eyes changed to a dark coal color.
"You can't love her like Bernie can." she said softly, I let out a soft growl, "How would you know?!" I asked desperately, "Are you saying I'm not as good as a lover as Bernie?!" I added defensively.
She shook her head, "You can love just as much as Bernie, but not towards her. Just like Bernie could never love your mate the way you can."
I felt anger rise through my body but the forced calm continuously washed away my bad feelings.
I don't know if I loved it or hated it.
Suddenly I felt cold and wet, but my appearance didn't seem change.
"Whats happening?" I whimpered, "It's raining." she replied "Your body is still outside." I didn't even bother to question it.
"I can't love him, he's a killer...and a man..." I steered our conversation back, she gave a huff of amusement, "You already love him though."
"No! I don't!" I shook my head, "He's not...what I was hoping for... he's not what I wanted." I ran my paw along the floor.
"He's what you need." I shot my eyes in bed direction, "How can he be what I need? He's everything I don't want.." she shook her head.
"I think you're just stopping yourself from trying to love him, there's nothing wrong with loving him." I frowned, "But I want kids too, I want a family, I can't have a family with a man, especially a murderer."
I didn't like wherever this way, time felt like it was speeding up but not moving at the same time, I felt freezing at this point, but it suddenly got warm, very warm, but I felt heavy.
"Time goes fast here, its already almost morning. " she said as if reading my mind before she placed her hands on my shoulders, "Listen, you're going to wake up, I guarantee you, if you let yourself love him, everything will work out."
I watched as she started to fade, I didn't want to.
"And if I don't..?" I asked, her face turned into a sad one, "Both of you will never be able to love as strong as you can each other.
I felt as if she wasn't saying everything, "And...?" I asked quietly.
"If you break his heart now, he might not have the will to fight off your pack, you know." she said softly, like it was something that could happen, but her face was telling me it was something that would happen.
I woke up, shivering, but I still felt a lot warmer than I was when it first started raining, I froze as I realized a weight was holding me down.
I glanced over to see a large brown wolf head next to mine, his eyes were closed, his pelt was darker, slicked with rain.
He was sleeping, and soaked.
His voice sounded rough and ragged, as if he was having trouble breathing.
Is he sick? Did he catch a cold? How long has he been out here?
I felt my heart drop, and worry rushed over me.
