[I was a hot mess in my Sunday best]

She laid on her bed, her hair tangled with knots and her black dress crumpled and wrinkled. Nevertheless, she still looked like an angel from heaven only that she had fallen. She had no wings but you can feel the power radiating from her.

[Black tears in my eyes]

Her tears was ruining her make-up as they weren't waterproof. The mascara that she had put on was the reason her tears are black.

[You were my first love, you were my only one]

She was staring at the ceiling which was covered in photos, photos of her and a charming young man. It was clear that in these pictures they were together; their tangled hands and happy faces revealed everything. They seemed so in love and she was lost in her memories of him.

[I can't believe your lies]

Her eyes was now shut, keeping her from looking at the unmvoing figures that brought back good memories. Her heart was slowly breaking into pieces because the more she remembered about it, the more clear it was to her about the lies he had feed her this whole time.

[Once we were like bottle rockets, now I know I have to stop it]

They had a relationship that every wanted, everyone's relationship goals. But nothing is excatly perfect and because she and almost everybody ignored that fact, she took the fall, the break-up, harder than normal people would.

[Please believe me, this isn't easy, I just need to say goodbye]

If you listened carefully, you can listen silent goodbyes that she was saying to him. It wasn't easy for her to let him go for he meant a lot to her but she had to let him go, even though it isn't easy at all, because he would only destroy her even more.

[Goodbye, losing my mind]

Because of his manipulation, she was slowly losing her mind, her sanity. She was torn with wanting him for selfish desires and to remove him from her life, her future, to keep her heart safe. What's the point of keeping her heart safe if it isn't whole?

[You gotta new friend]

While she was in her bed, dirty and messed up, he was out there with someone else, someone new. He was feeding that girl the same lies he fed her and manipulating that girl the same way he manipulated her.

[You like to play pretend]

She didn't bother to warn that girl about him because she blames that girl for her miserable state. She knew the whole time that his actions were just acting and he was blunty pretending his feelings for that girl.

[I'm just keeping my cool, turn on that smoke machine, magic and make it believe]

She couldn't avoid him for she was too deep in love with him. When she lost her self control, she would softly stalk him even though she know that what she'll see is him with her and her heart breaking even more. Right now, she was ready to let him go and get out of the spell he had place on her.

[She'll never know you like I do]

She used to entertain herself with thoughts of how she and him was and will have a much better relationship than that girl and him. She knows that she knows everything about him and that girl won't know what she knows.

[Once we were a fire burning]

People were confused on their break-up for their love was so strong, the type of love where one wouldn't be able to let go of the other.

[Now you're just a lesson I'm learning]

She didn't care what other people think. All she cares about is learning from the lesson he taught her: don't fall so hard for someone whom you don't have the garauntee that he would love you forever.

[I know that I can find somebody, you won't ever find nobody else like me]

She opened her eyes, determined to get rid of him from her life, not wanting him to destroy her future too.
