Sunghoon's POV

Love kept messaging me after telling her off. She said she was sorry.

I understand, though. She is not aware, plus I agreed to this. But I think we are already going too far.

"Hoonie"

"I already left. I am really sorry."

"If only I knew, I wouldn't even bother to meet you earlier."

"I was actually there to tell you that I am calling the deal off."

I tried not to open my messaging app, and just read and watched it pop up through my notifications. But her last message caught my attention.

"What?"

I finally replied.

"Sorry, I really enjoyed teasing you, though." She sent back with a laughing emoji.

Is she for real?

"I already have a boyfriend, just got together recently, so you should be happy for me. Please don't be mad anymoree" She added.

My eyes widened at the message. She what?!

"My boyfriend actually knew about the deal we made just a week ago, tho he laughed at the silly idea, of course I feel bad, so I'm calling it off."

I stood up and realized this was really happening.

Before even responding, Heeseung's contact name suddenly flashed on my screen. He's calling.

"Hey." I flatly greeted.

"Hoon, don't panic, yeah? Jake's in the hospital-"

"He's what?!"

My whole body went cold at the information. Scenarios of him being hurt flashed inside my mind at that very moment.

"Shh, Hoon, please. Listen. I'll send you the location of the hospital. Don't panic. Be careful okay?"

With that, I went out as soon as he ended the call.

I caught a man running towards the elevator. A pink-haired man. It's Sun.

He must have gotten the news, too, since we are in the same circle of friends.

"Sunoo!" I called out.

His head whipped towards my direction, our eyes meeting.

His eyes were filled with tears now.

I finally reached him just in time with the elevator opening up.

We both entered the empty elevator without saying a word. The atmosphere between us wasn't awkward. Though he was focused on waiting for the levels to go faster, I didn't miss how he would often look to my direction to see his reflection on the wall.

I chuckled lightly.

"What?" He suddenly spoke.

"Your hair looks good on you." I took the chance on complimenting him. I know he loves it.

"I know." He confidently answered back. He's back, he is finally back. The Sunoo I grew to love.

"Jake?" I asked. He nodded as he quickly understood.

Talking to him felt lighter than expected. It was as if everything that happened earlier didn't happen at all. But I am somehow thankful that we both chose to forget about that for a moment as we have something more important to think of.
