cw // slight making out
Kim Sunoo's POV
Continuously rolling over the bed, my mind won't stop thinking about Sunghoon. The way he handled the stirring wheel when he was driving, the way he showed off and tried to be funny, and...the flower tissue he made just for me.
I immediately sat up as I noticed how my mind wandered off to the thoughts of him.
"Ow..." Suddenly, I felt my thighs ache, probably because of yesterday's events.
I slowly stood up from my bed, remembering how Sunghoon said that he would take me out today as well.
But, will he?
It's already 9 AM and he has not texted or called me.
He's lying, isn't he?
I unconsciously pouted because of the thought. Since I didn't want to cook, I decided to go and buy some take-out from the restaurant nearby.
Putting on a gray oversized hoodie, I went on my way towards the door. Upon opening, a voice suddenly made me stop on my tracks.
"Good morning."
I looked up to see that it was the man who had not left my mind since yesterday.
This time, the tall figure was wearing a plain white shirt, and had specs, too. Judging from his get up, it looks like he does not even have plans on going out.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I scanned him from head to toe.
"Hm?" He confusingly looked at me.
"Is your body aching from yesterday?" He suddenly asked, which surprised me since my body really is achy.
Lacking the energy to respond, I gave him a small nod.
"I figured...because mine does, too." He shyly smiled, his eyes disappearing.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as his smile slowly disappeared.
For a moment, I looked back at the tone of my voice. Did I just sound rude?
"Sorry. I am just hungry." I explained as he gave me a questioning look.
"Why are you sorry?" His voice was soft. It almost felt like he can talk to me to sleep. How can he suddenly become so gentle?
"U-Uh, nothing—"
"Can we stay in for today? I know I told you that I will take you out today, too. But, I don't think we both can." He pursed his lips and placed both of his hands inside the pockets of his sweatpants.
Mindlessly agreeing to his request, I found myself sitting on the couch as he ordered us food through the phone. I insisted on buying but he was way more persistent.
"The food will arrive soon." I heard him say before flopping down on the couch right beside me.
There is something about the weather today that made me feel sleepy. Actually, no, it is not about the weather. Maybe it's because who I am with. The silent room was only filled with our slow breaths, neither of us on our phones or whatsoever. It was just us. Nothing else. We can talk if we wanted to, but neither started the conversation.
With that, my eyelids felt heavy. I feel more sleepy than hungry now. I then let my head hang low as I let my guard down. I didn't care whether my neck would hurt, but all I know is that I am comfortable. Too comfortable and at peace that my mind suddenly heard a voice of a woman humming a familiar melody.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.
I opened my eyes to see a blurry view of a familiar figure. It was my mom.
She looked down on me as she smiled and sang my favorite song. I found myself reaching out to her as I felt her lift me up from my crib.
"My little Sunoo, you will grow and shine like a bright star, soon," she softly said. "Everyone will love you."
"Love someone who deserves your love, hm? I want you to love someone who will exceed the love I give you." She whispered and kissed my chest. I laughed heartily.
Feeling something warm and soft against my lips, I smiled at the thought of my mom's habit when I was little. I pulled her by the neck as I felt continuous playful pecks on my lips.
I relaxed under their touch not until I felt something wet slipping into my lips, exploring my mouth and deepening the kiss as my body started to feel hotter than usual.
My eyes shot open as I felt electricity flowing throughout my body.
I found myself already completely lying down on the couch, hugging Hoon's face so close to mine, his eyes closed as he passionately nibbled my bottom lip and planted careful and soft pecks around my lips.
"Fuck!" I almost screamed as I pushed him away, releasing the grasp he had on the couch to keep himself from putting his weight on me.
"W-What..." I sat up and stared at his shocked and confused face.
"Sun...y-you pulled me into the kiss. Sun, I swear. A-And you were tearing up." He was trying to form sentences as he motioned the tears that stained my cheeks.
I catched my breath as I observed his eyes. I unconsciously held my lips, reminiscing the warmth of Hoon's.
"I-I understand. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to...I was not aware..." I said and looked up at him to see his fond smile.
Moments after, our food finally arrived.
We sat down at the dining table together, not meeting each other's eyes.
"Thank you for the food." I said and finally looked at him in the eyes.
"Eat well."
After a long pause, I spoke.
"This tastes good." I nodded to the spicy taste of the chicken.
"Mm, it's soft...and sweet."
I confusingly looked at him from my food. We are literally eating spicy chicken.
Not until I saw his smirk as he ate another bite.
"What do you mean?"
"Huh?" He looked at me as if he was startled and clueless.
"Nothing." He shook his head and continued eating.
I bit the side of my cheek, realizing what he was implying.
What an asshole.
