Another Gig

We ended up going home after that instead of finishing the movie, going immediately to sleep. So much for taking things 'slow'.

...

I woke up the next morning to Julian being gone, and there was a note on the table.

Going somewhere for a while, I'll be back by tonight.
I love you :)

He didn't normally leave me in the mornings, and if he planned on going anywhere, he made sure to ask if I wanted to tag along. I shrugged it off, getting out of bed and walking into the kitchen to make myself coffee.

I sat down on the sofa, and as soon as I did, someone called. I looked down at my phone. It was Nick. I picked it up and answered it.

"What's up?" I asked as I sipped on my coffee.

"Have you seen Julian?"

"No? He said he was going somewhere this morning. Why?"

"We just got a gig for tonight and he won't pick up his phone."

"He's probably busy." I said, suddenly feeling unsure myself. It wasn't like Julian to just run off and stop answering his phone.

"Okay, well send him over here the next time you see him please."

"Alright, bye."

" Bye." he said, as the other line went quiet. I went to my contacts and called Julian. Maybe he'd answer for me.

After a long time of it ringing, no answer. Julian wasn't answering his phone.

I placed the phone down, leaning back onto the sofa. Now I was starting to feel furious. We always told each other where we were. That was just how our relationship had been in the last month.

Sure enough, the door opened, revealing a happy looking Julian.

He was holding something behind his back as he smiled, walking up to me.

"Where were you?" I asked, trying to hide the anger in my voice. "I tried calling you, and--"

"I was out." he interrupted, then taking whatever was behind his back out. It was a record. One I'd always wanted, A Hard Days Night by The Beatles. I smiled, then starting to feel bad. I had just been angry at him for no reason. I jumped to the conclusion that he was doing something he shouldn't, and all because he didn't tell me exactly where he was going. He smiled, sitting down on the sofa next to me as he handed me the record.

"I know I took a long time, but none of the stores I was going to sold the record I wanted to get you, so.."

"It's okay." I said, leaning forward and kissing him softly. "Also, Nick called."

"About what?" he asked.

"You guys have another gig." I said, his eyes immediately lighting up.

"Why did no one tell me?" he asked.

"You weren't answering your phone, plus, they just found out themselves. He needs you to come over."

"Shit." he said, then getting up from the couch."Come on, then."

He always wanted me to come with him everywhere he went now. I wasn't complaining at all, I loved it. I loved that he wanted me around. I loved being around him more than anything. But I'm sure our new relationship was already starting to annoy some people.

I rolled my eyes, letting out a laugh as he grabbed my hand and helped me up from the couch.
