I was woken up by the sound of the crows flying away and a plop on the windowsill and I looked over and saw a raven with a note in its beak it was also somewhat odd because we all agreed to only use crows to transport letters

I slowly walked up to the bird and took the letter and I reached my hand out to pet it and it let me so I petted just under its beak and opened the letter and noticed Nick fire symbol on it

When we were younger and I had just moved away Nick had secretly been sending me letters once every couple of months it was nice to hear from him every once and a while and he always signed his letter with a small fire symbol

Hey I know that our nations aren't on good terms at all but I wanted to let you know I think Clays don't right he seems off like he hit his head or something but I think it's bad I don't know what to do and could use your help when we went and visited L'manburg he was 100%, not himself and it showed in how he was talking to you please help

I slowly set down the note and grabbed a piece of paper

Hey Nick I heard about the war and I wasn't there or I'm not there depending on what has happened but the reason is that I was requested at the MCC server and won't be back until at least January but please write to me and I will try and see if I could help you from here but sadly it's too far of a journey to go back now but don't hesitate the crows always find me

I sealed off the letter and handed it back to the raven and gave it a piece of bread before it flew off and I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face and put my hair in a low bun and walked back and put on a pair of Jean shorts and a random t-shirt and I walked down a set of stairs and I saw one of the guards named Sneed

"Sneeg" I voiced and he turned to look at me "oh your awake good morning" he greeted me "yes good morning" I smiled "I'm assuming you want something to eat" he raised an eyebrow and I nodded "well I think the kings and princess just finished eating so you have the dining room to yourself" he explained and started walking

We soon reached the dining room and I went and sat down woman gave me a plate with fruits and yogurt and I began eating

After I had finished I stood up and walked out the doors I came in when another woman ran up to me "Ma'am king Scott has summoned you to his office" she spoke in a semi bow "ok could you show me the way"I asked "of course miss" she voiced and started walking towards a large staircase

We climbed to the top and there was a door at the end of the hallway she told me that that was his door and left

I slowly walked towards it and knocked on the door and heard a soft "enter" from the other side of the door

As I opened the door I saw Scott sitting with one hand resting on his forehead and the other writing on the many documents he had scrawled on his desk

"Oh Kora please come in shut the door behind you" he cheered and I did as I was told and sat in the seat across from him "you summoned Me," I asked "oh right I wanted to tell you more about your job" he voiced and I nodded "you will work in the library Sneeg or James can help you in the morning and I just want you to teach her to read properly as well as write and train her to fight" he rambled "of course, I can do that could I also teach her about gods and other mobs and languages," I asked "of course but after the writing and reading and then go for it" he spoke and I nodded "ok your free but I want you to start early tomorrow" he smiled and I smiled back and walked out of his office

I walked back to my room and found XD down writing in his non-human form "XD do you want to go walk around for a bit and maybe read" I asked and he turned around to look at me "ya sure" his voice now cryptic a second later he was in his human form and we put on a cloak and so did I and we walked downstairs and I saw James

"James" I called out and he looked over and smiled "yes ma'am" "do you happen to know where a library is Phanes and I were hoping to read outside," I asked and he gestured to follow when I felt XD's face get closer to my ear "really Phanes" he mocked "it was all I could come up with and would you rather I call you XD" I snarled he shrugged

We made it to the library and I picked out a book and we were escorted to the doors and then we set off and soon after found a nice spot underneath a willow tree and we both leaned against its bark

And we sat there for a bit admiring the view when I felt someone's eyes on me and I looked over and saw it was XD

"What if we asked each other questions to get to know each other" he proposed and I shrugged "ok I'll go first what's your favourite colour," he asked "easy green" I answered "what's your favourite colour," I asked "gold" he spoke "who's your role model" he voiced "my dad" I spoke and looked down at the grass and smiled "your dad isn't alive is he" he questioned and nodded my head "I'm sorry" he sympathized "you didn't know" I frowned and opened the book in my hands and XD looked over at me

"Would you like me to read to you"

"Of course"
