XXVI

A new start

A week later

As I stepped out of our new house I admired how Toby and I decorated it looked exactly like how our childhood home looked like from however many years ago

As I was walking back up the stairs to the door I heard chatter coming from the directions of the walls opening and saw Wilbur tommy and Toby with three others and walked over to see what was happening

"Oh look it's kora" Will cheered and I waved walking closer to them "no way you mean kora from the old town" a girl with pink hair and a familiar voice asked "ya" Will spoke and the girl ran to me and that's when I realized who's voice that was and I opened my arms and embraced Niki into my arms and spun her around

"Niki it's been so long" I cheered and she nodded and we pulled away from each other "how have you been" she questioned "I've been ok" I replied and looked behind her and saw two others and waved to them "oh kora is is Eret and Fundy" Will introduced us "hello it's lovely to meet the two of you" I greeted them

When we left the arctic I well gained a new sense of fashion well not really was just really hot here. I wore a cream coloured shirt with beautiful puffy sleeves and a overall type dress that went to my knees and was the same shade of colour blue that the uniforms were I also wore a blue hair scarf with one of the bandannas tommy had made for me and I wore brown boots

I had told Will I didn't want to be second in command and he respected my wishes and let Tommy be second in command which was probably not the best idea but what am I going to do now. My role in L'manburg as they call it is the medic and historian meaning I write books and journals on what happens around here which I thought was nicer than being head of the front lines like a secret weapon knowing that I was one of our nations best fighters

We showed the new members around the place and then set them all up a temporary house that was just basic wood but if they wanted they could make it sturdier

Once we had finished it was almost dark out and I had invited everyone to come have dinner at our house and I had made chicken with carrots and potatoes for everyone and we all had dinner together

Once we had finished we all went to the middle of the town and will brag his guitar and we lit one of the fire pits and we sat there and just had a chat while I brushed through Toby's now knotted hair and Will started strumming in a familiar tone And then Will looked at me and I shook my head

"Come on kora I for sure taught you think one" Will spoke "I don't like singing sea shanties" I voiced rolling my eyes "come on you" he egged me on "please ace" Toby begged and I rolled my eyes once again and Will started the song again

I sang and tommy and tubbo stood up and started moving to my singing and I smiled as I watched the other three do the same

Long we've tossed on the rolling main,

Tommy and tubbo were dancing together as I continued the shanty it was a very cute thing to see

Once the little song had ended Will played another song but one i knew very well one we made for Toby and tommy when they were younger one of my favourites and they always did the same dance and they did the same dance today as the others laughed and clapped as I went and sat right beside Will on the ground resting my head on against his legs but not long after I was pulled up by the two younger boys and they moved my arms to the strumming to the song as we just laughed and danced around 

It had been hours since we had started and we finally had decided to part our separate ways and we all walked into our houses and as Toby and I walked back I laid my arm around his shoulder and brought him closer to me

I had finally had a good laugh with people who I would now consider apart of our fucked up family I know ours isn't as bad as others but it sure was an emotional roller coaster but hey

What am I going to do family is family and well I'm kinda stuck with them now
