This space I stay
Never seeming to feel right
Its reflection never what is wanted
An image outside of the expected
The mirror the enemy
The view portrayed failing
Society's standards
Painting to cover what's really there
Painting to cover the flaws seen
To create and image of beauty
Now the reflection shows
An image of fraud
For what is shown was not there before
Now it is but a painted smile
Along with a painted mask
For society wants to see
The beauty not the beast
That hides beneath.
