"He's so cute." Harry cooed, crouching down to pick up the whimpering puppy. Leaning against the edge of the car's bonnet, Louis tried to get a peek of the scared animal. "And blind, apparently." He grumbled, eyeing the way the dog instantly relaxed against Harry's chest. "Don't," Harry warned, throwing him a glare before he averted his attention to the puppy in his arms, petting his head soothingly. "We could've almost run over him." He tried to defend his case. It had given Harry quite a shock, the omega jostling back to consciousness because the dog had apparently thought it was for the best if he stood directly in front of a moving vehicle.

"But we didn't." Harry reverted, going back to showering the puppy with delicate touches and sweet nothings. "Aren't you the sweetest little thing?" Harry crooned, smiling widely when the puppy yipped merrily in response, nuzzling against his clothed chest. "He's a mixed breed and a puppy, Haz. His owners are probably searching for him as we speak." Harry looked a little dejected by his words, but nevertheless, continued running his fingers through the matted, black fur of the animal. "I don't see a collar." Harry waved off his worries, shifting the puppy so now they were chest-to-chest, the animal's head resting on Harry's shoulder. "H—"

"We can't just leave him off here. Look at his fur, the poor thing has been alone for days, I think." Taking a closer look at the animal, Louis could see the grime entangling his fur. Heaving out a sigh, he slouched back to the car, "c'mon, let's go, we will see what we can do once we get back to the town area." Harry gave him a beaming smile, hurrying behind him to get into the car.

The whole ride to the packhouse went by in a blur of Harry crooning to the puppy and getting reciprocated with enthusiastic yips and barks. Louis drove, stifling down his irritation by increasing the volume of the extremely annoying pop song playing on the radio. "Can you turn down the volume a little, Lou? I think the sudden noise is scaring him." Of course. He turned off the radio with a grunt, rolling his eyes when the puppy whimpered. "Oh, my God, he's so cute, Louis. I could just cuddle with him forever." He stepped on the brakes, the car halting outside the mammoth iron gates. "Open the fucking gates." He spat out to the guard standing near the gates, fingers clenching around the steering wheel as the beta fumbled about with a walkie-talkie.

He heard Harry apologizing to the flabbergasted guards as they sped past them. He rounded the baroque fountain installed in the center of the open space, suppressing a sigh when he noticed Richard and a few workers awaiting their arrival. "Would you try not to abuse your power?" Harry muttered under his breath as they climbed down from the car.

"Welcome, Alpha Tomlinson, it is an absolute pleasure to have you and your omega visit our pack lands." Richard, that fucker, disregarded Harry completely, hurrying up to him to embrace him in a hug. Louis yanked himself away from the alpha, patting his back (a little too harshly for it to be considered professional) twice before departing back to his previous position, alongside a now timid Harry.

"Oh, you have a mutt. Should've informed us earlier so we could have prepared a dog bed for it." Richard eyed Harry from head to toe before fixating his gaze on the puppy nestled against the omega's chest. "We could get it settled in the communal kennel." Louis noticed the way Harry bit his lip, hesitating; he was probably contemplating whether to punch this motherfucker in the nuts or the face. "No worries, he will sleep with us." He forced a smile on his face, pulling Harry closer towards him; he could sense the omega's anxiety and as much as it scared him, he couldn't give a fuck when Harry was probably combating against all those foul lessons of his etiquette teacher. "It looks like it's in dire need of a bath." Richard wrinkled his nose as the puppy twisted around in Harry's hold, beady eyes surveying his surroundings with youthful innocence.
