~previous chapter~
"You look beautiful" My mom complimented me. "Thank you, but do you think its to bright?" I asked "No, not at all." She responded. "Ready?" My father asked. "Yes! what are we waiting for?" He grabbed the keys and we went on our way.
Lacey's POV
We walked out the door, and got inside the car. My dad said the drive was around an hour and a half so, I opened up my leather sketch book I had gotten from my grandmother last christmas. It was covered in flowers and had my name on the front. I got out my pencil and began drawing something I saw in a previous vision.
When it started to look like something good, I grabbed my watercolor set from the trunk, and my water bottle, and began painting my sketch. I chose cooler tones, since that fit the mood on the drive. When I was done, I looked at it.
It was a woman and young boy. They were standing in front of a lovely farmhouse. I drew some birds in the sky, since it was looking bland. Right when I closed the paint set, My dad told me we where here.
And sure enough, it was the same house I just painted, as well as the one in my vision. It looked even more stunning than the vision I had seen. I got out of the car, and took my bag out of the seat. In my bag, I had a change of clothes, a toothbrush, deodorant, hairbrush, and of course my sketchbook and paint-set. It was getting cold, I wasn't sure if it was a spirit, or the weather. So, I got my coat from the trunk and put it on, rubbing my shoulders trying to warm up.
"Lacey, what do you think?" My mom asked. "Its very beautiful." I paused. "I want to live some place like this when I get older." I continued. "It sure is." My dad finished.
"Alright, let's head inside." Ed said. My parents knocked on the door. We were ready to meet the family.
