**Audrey's P.O.V**Two weeks had passed by and Drew was officially moving in with me today. He started bringing some stuff over slowly, but today we were moving in the stuff for his room. I had emptied the spare room that I used as a studio all night for him to settle there.I was now about to finish work when his text alerts me that everything was already home. I have had a shitty day so far, so I really hope he has cleaned up the mess at least a little bit.Jace had joked about us throttling each other, when we told the guys about the "roommate" arrangement and somehow I start to believe Jace's words. I'm used to my neatness and Drew to his mess. We have to find a mutual understanding.I hop out of the car and take the elevator to my floor. When I open the door, I am met with a bunch of furniture and boxes that have taken up about half of the living area.-Ummm...Drew?- I call staring at the boxes. He comes out of his room wearing a white t-shirt, his phone in his hand.-Welcome home roomie!- He smiles cheerfully. The white brings out the blue of his eyes. I had never seen him put on another color either than black. He definitely looks good.-Umm...I thought you guys put the furniture directly to the room. - I say, a little question in there.-Yeah, well they had to run, so I told them it was ok to just drop them here. I'll put them inside later.-You will? - I ask, not convinced at the slightest. - You can barely lift one of those boxes.-Oh come on, don't spoil my fun. I'll try. Don't worry, everything will be spotless tomorrow.I sigh and shake my head. I'd better get down to work and help him, otherwise this stuff is going to stay here all week. **********Everything is in place by dinner time. Drew had to run to a meeting with his manager so I made his bed and put his clothes in the closet. Shit! He has tons of stuff. Useless ones mostly. I try on several hats and gloves that barely have any function, but it's just fun. Then I find his Misfits cutoff t-shirt. Oh I remember that. He used to wear that in the video he sent me singing one of his old songs for the first time. Shit a lot of time has passed. He was like 16 or 17 at the time. This shirt I'm definitely keeping. I put it over my head and it fits. I go check it in the mirror.-It looks perfect. - His deep voice startles me.I blush, looking away quickly. He's leaning on the doorway a smile playing his lips.-Keep it! I like it on you. - He pushes himself off and walks to me.-How long have you been standing there? - I ask, raising a brow.-Long enough to see you aren't wearing a bra underneath that. - He says matter-of-factly.My cheeks burn. Shit! I have to get used that now there's someone else around.-What?! Don't mind me, by all means. I have seen boobs before, you know. Yours too, if that's any help. - He laughs when I slap his arm at that comment. He walks towards the kitchen singing his lungs out:I cannot hide what's on my mindSomething falls on the floor followed by a 'shit' from him, then he resumes singing.Never gonna change my mindI walk behind him. I have to get used to this. To him singing, to him walking around and making a mess of everything.-What's that? - I ask referring to the song.-It's a song. DUH!-I know silly. I meant what song?-A new one I'm trying to write. - He smiles proudly. - Want me to sing it to you?-Sure, why not. - I smile, opening the fridge to fix dinner.-So take your hand in mine - He sings, taking my hand turning me to him. I smile shaking my head, our hands still connected.-Beautiful! - I finally say when he stops.-So are you! - He smiles. - Now let's feed you. I made dinner. - He wiggles his eyebrows.-You did?! When did you do that?! - I ask surprised.-Well, technically I bought it, but we can pretend I made it. - He laughs taking out the forks and setting them on the table.-You're umm...how do I put this...-Great? Irresistible? Thoughtful? Sexy? You're welcome! - He says, smiling proudly.-You're an idiot. - I shake my head and sit on the table. He makes an offended face then shakes it off.-Dinner for two coming right away. Enjoy your water m'lady. - He babbles walking around grabbing food and glasses and everything.-God, you're messy! - I sigh.-Bear with me. I'm new at this. I'll get the hang of it quickly. You won't know it if it hit you in the face. - He says joining me across the table.-How are you new at this? You've been living with a woman for a long time.-Not this kind of woman. - He points at me. - Believe me, I've had no such domestic life. Just running around and...you know...messy lifestyle I guess.-Are you suggesting I'm domesticating you?-Wouldn't you like it. - He says, but it wasn't a question.-We need to set some ground rules then. Considering our so different lifestyles.-It's your house baby. Feel free to smack me whenever I misbehave. I'm all yours. - He shoves a mouthful of pasta.I roll my eyes at him. -So what's up? What was the emergency? - I refer to his manager's call.-Umm...a new project I guess. -But?-But, what?!-I can sense an argument coming. I can see you're no pleased so spill it. I know you.He seems to think for a while. Maybe it's something that really put him in a tough spot.-A solo project. – He finally lets out-Oh! wow! - I put my fork down still trying to process the information. – I wasn't expecting that.-I was. He's been pushing me for a while now. I haven't told the band yet, so I'd appreciate it if, you know...-Don't worry. It's not place to share that.-Thank you. – He sighs.-Hey, cheer up! Today we celebrate two weeks sober. It's not much, but it's progress. - I smile.-Thank you! - He repeats, but this time smiling.-By the way, I found something I wanna show you. - I get up and walk to my room taking some stuff.I put it on the table and he bursts out laughing. -Holy shit!!! You've kept these all these years! - He takes the signed pic in his hand, then he looks at the letter.Years ago he had sent me some stuff. A signed pic of the band, two concert tickets, a t-shirt with his face, which I complained about cause I wanted the whole band but he was selfish like that, and also a hand written letter.-I'm glad you remember them. - I smile, breathing deeply. -Of course sweetheart. I remember giving them to Rob, so that he could safely send them to you, since I was touring and all. Then I remember you complaining about the T-shirt. You said you didn't want my face all over like that. But the thought of it made feel so damn good. That's why I got you the one with only me in it. I'm a selfish prick.I laugh at him. He does remember everything. God I've screamed at him for doing that. I remember his laughter when he told me that at least his cheeks would look chubbier 'cause they'd be on my boobs. -I just...can I read this? - He points at the letter. - I don't really remember what I've put there.-Go on. You'll be amazed. - I laugh. He takes his time going through the lines of the letter. He has just babbled and written everything that had come to his mind. I smile at the faces he makes while reading it. He finally puts his hands over his eyes, shaking his head.-Oh my fucking Gooooood!!! I was fucking whipped, wasn't I? - He laughs hysterically.I shrug, laughing at his reaction. -I'm not gonna use it against you. - I wink-Shit man, this sucks! I was like really fucking in love with you, so God help me if this didn't make me feel embarrassed. - He laughs, his cheeks pink. He IS indeed embarrassed.-It's ok. We were young and stupid.-No, no, I was stupid alright, but not for writing this. I was stupid for pushing you away.He walks to me taking my hand and pulling me to himself.-We could have had a real shot at that. I should have tried to help you come to me, not drive you away. - The way his eyes flicker make my heart race faster.-Then we wouldn't be who we are right now. Some things are meant to happen in certain ways for us to grow up Drew. I purposely shape my words to try and avoid where he's going with this conversation, but he has different thoughts. He still pushes forward with what he says next:-Yes, we are friends, and yes we have our own paths. I can see how you try to avoid this topic, but I'm gonna make it happen. I'll make you fall for me again, cause I...I don't think I have ever fallen out of love with you...That makes me want to scold him, yet remain silent at the same time. If he had spoken these words in a different time in my life, I would be willing to jump head first, but now...I just can't. He doesn't know my story and he doesn't know I can't fall for him...or anyone...
