When I felt the Casita stop shaking and moving I looked up, the bubble I was in had vanished and there was a circle of debris around me. I sighed with relief and looked around.
The Casita is gone.
I tried to stand up but pain immediately flooded back to my leg. I yelped and decided sitting was probably the best option.
A few moments later I saw Julieta running towards Mirabel. I looked over in worry for my best friend but it appeared that she was fine. She had no injuries that I could see, just some dust on her.
"y/n!" I heard Camilo's voice and looked in front of me. He was running towards me and jumping over objects in the rubble.
"Camilo..." My smile was wobbly and I bit down on my lip. He got to me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.
"y/n don't you ever do that again I was so scared for you! You're already hurt I couldn't bear to see you in an even worse state!" He talked rapidly in my ear and squeezed me tighter.
"I'm fine Camilo," I embraced him and rubbed my hands along his back soothingly. We stayed like that for a few more moments longer. He raised an eyebrow at me then motioned his hand to my leg.
"Ok ok so not completely fine...but it could be worse," I shrugged, trying to make him feel better.
He gave me a small smile and kissed my head lightly. Leaving me a flustered mess and shocked.
"Let's get you somewhere safe mi amor," he smiled at me while I covered my face with my hands. He slowly picked me up bridal style and walked me over to the front of the house.
"Now, where is tu casa mi querida..." he winked down at me and I gave him a response.

"You really didn't have to carry me this far to my house Camilo," he waved me off as he rapped on the door. I sighed and watched as mama opened the door.
"Hol-" she didn't finish saying hello before she saw my leg and started cupping my face.
"Mija/o, what happened to your leg? Why are you here? You should be seeing Julieta if it's that hurt.
Camilo and I gave each other remorseful looks as Mama brought us inside.

"Is that what all of the screaming and rumbling was from town then?" Juan asked too many questions for his own good.
Camilo smiled at my brother and nodded his head. Another thing that I adored about Camilo was that he was great with kids.
Mama came over and put a bag of ice on my ankle. At first, it hurt and I winced but then it felt nice and I relaxed a bit while my mother stroked my hair. I stared at Camilo while he played with my little brothers. My face felt warm but I didn't care.
"You really do like that boy don't you Mija/o?" she whispered in my ear and I turned my head to her, flustered.
"Mama..." I whined, which only caught Camilo's attention and he smiled over at me. I smiled back before shooting a dirty look at mama.
"I'm going to go get some crutches from the Delgado's, I'll be back," she pushed my hair back and I smiled gratefully at her. As she walked out of the living room she whispered something in Camilo's ear, making him blush.
Y-yes señorita!" he stuttered and I glared at my mother, wondering what she said to him.
Camilo moved from his spot and crouched in front of me. He carefully checked the bruising on my leg then re-wrapped the ice around my leg with a cloth.
