When I got home I slammed the door behind me and panicked at what I had just done, not only had I yelled at Camilo Madrigal; but I also unintentionally used my powers to hurt somebody.

I needed to leave.

I ran past my mother and went into my room, packing my things. I made sure I had extra food and water along with other essentials. I packed my suitcase so full that I couldn't fit extra pairs of clothing along with me. I didn't care though, most of my journey I wouldn't be able to change and I could ask to borrow some clothes once I arrived to the other village.

Mama came in and looked at me with a smile. Her eyes seemed more fatigued than normal but I assumed it was just her worrying while working. I gave her a hug as she brushed my hair one last time.

Then it was time to go.

Camilo's POV

Once y/n was out of my view I looked down at my hands, my knuckles marked with bloody cuts. I looked under my shirt to see the bruise created by y/n's bubbles. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair.

"¡Mierda!" I yelled and looked over at the bubbles which were dissipating on their own. I waited until enough were gone for me to run past them. Then I ran to y/n's house.

When I arrived to their house I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. I had expected y/n to answer but it was her mother instead.

"Hi Camilo, what's wrong?" she glanced down at my hands and shook her head "Come inside Camilo," she tried to coax me inside but I backed away from her arms.

"Where's y/n? I need to talk to them," I looked up at her mother who looked at me with pity.

"They already left Camilo,"

I hugged Carlos tightly, I just told him I was leaving and he took it fairly well. I took a deep breath and tried to sort out my feelings. While I liked kissing Carlos, I didn't feel about him in the same way as I did Camilo.

I broke the hug me and Carlos shared and we looked each other in the eyes. he leaned forward but I simply turned my head the other way, pretending not to notice.

"I'll see you soon, okay?" I looked back at him and he nodded, his hands in his pants pockets. He leaned in and gave me a soft kiss on the cheek before giving a small smile and walking off.

Carlos POV

"I'll see you very soon y/n..." I muttered under my breath as I smirked and continued to walk away, back towards the Encanto.

I looked into the Rivera I was about to cross, I looked at my reflection and took a deep breath. I picked up my suitcase and started crossing the river, the cool water moving along my bare feet and splashing on my lower legs.

I noticed a bright yellow butterfly fly in front of me then land on a nearby rose, the rose wasn't a common one but one that i had seen many times before. I looked at the similar rose that was attached to my bag, the one Camilo had left for me on the bridge. Then I heard a voice.

"y/n, mi amor, por favor please wait!" he called. I turned around and looked over at the curly haired boy. I bit my lip as I watched him walk over to the rivera. I rubbed my arm and stared at the marks on his fists.

Was he really that upset about Carlos and I?

I placed my suitcase on a flat rock nearby as he stepped into the rivera and came over, splashing my legs a little. We stared at each other before I spoke.

"Camilo i'm sorry about what I did, this is why I need to leave..."  I covered my face with my hands and leaned onto his shoulder. His hand rubbed my back in soothing circular motions as the other played with my hair.

"Mi amor i'm so sorry for getting this upset it was all my fault..." I pulled back from the embrace and looked him in the eyes.

"I just didn't want to lose..." he trailed off and put his forehead against mine. We were silent for a minute as our breaths mingled. I felt my cheeks heat up from how close we were and noticed his skin turning a light shade of red as well.

Then I felt his lips on my own.

His hands cupped my cheeks as one of my own fell upon his shoulder. He pulled back and I looked at him, shocked. If the blush wasn't visible before, it sure was now.

"...I didn't want to lose you mi amor," My eyes flicked over to the rose the butterfly had been on and I watched it fly away from the corner of my eye. I looked back at him as he caressed my cheek.

"You'll never lose me Camilo..." I moved his hand off my cheek and lightly pushed his arm down. Then a thud against skin could be heard. I had punched his arm, not so hard as to hurt him but not in a playful way either.

"Ow, hey!" He exclaimed, rubbing his shoulder.

"But why didn't you say something sooner! You and Carlos are going to be the eventual death of me!" I huffed and looked away before sighing and moving back towards Camilo.

"Let me sort out my feelings on this trip, okay?" He looked down and nodded his head.

I felt bad but was too confused myself about the two boys in my life to say something I might regret. I lifted his chin and planted a small kiss on his cheek.

"Adios, Camilo..." I smiled at him and grabbed my suitcase, picking it up and then walking to the other side of the rivera, away from him.

Away from the Encanto
