I sat there in the kitchen, my leg straightened and the crutches leaning against the counter. I looked outside at the children playing in the afternoon sun. It had been two days since they fully rebuilt Casita Madrigal and all the Madrigals got their gifts back.

I sat there chatting with Mira about the front door. Camilo came into the kitchen and took a piece of fruit. He sat beside me and leaned in, whispering in my ear to meet him at sunset near the bridge before walking away.

I stared at the doorway he left out of, confused. 'What was that about?' I thought to myself before turning back to Julieta. She finished making the Arepa con Queso and handed it to me.

"Thank you Julieta," I smiled at her before taking a bite. Immediately the burning sensation in my leg went away. I took another bite and my leg went a bit numb before it felt normal. I carefully stood up and tested my leg. I took a few steps around and smiled before wrapping my arms around Julieta.

"Oh, you're welcome y/n dear, don't be shy to come by whenever you like!" she gave me a kiss on the cheek before I went off with Mirabel.

I talked to Mirabel and talked about how great it was for everybody. Mirabel and I walked up the stairs and Abuela stood in front of Mirabel's door. I still wasn't happy with Abuela for the way she treated everybody but at least she apologized and was trying to be better.

"Hola Abuela!" Mirabel waved and gave her a hug, Abuela hugged her back and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Hola mi Mirabel, i'm here to get y/n, her and I need to have a talk" I froze for a second and panicked.

I crossed my arms over my torso. All if the sudden feeling insecure, I haven't talked to her since I yelled at her.

"Oh, ok..." Mirabel looked over at me and smiled before waving and going into her room.

"y/n follow me please," Abuela put her hand against my back as she led me towards Bruno's room.

"Abuela why are we going to Bruno's room?" I finally said something to her and she sighed.

"There are some things we must show you, it's about what happened when Casita was falling apart..." she led me up the stairs and opened the door.

I remembered small pieces of Bruno's room from when I was younger but it seems like it changed quite a bit.

Instead of walking through sand when you went in there was a glass staircase which was tinted green leading down to the rest of the room.

The center of the room had a large circle which was probably for when he were to have visions. Behind that was a bed with several shades of green as bedding.

The walls had hourglasses in the center filled with sand which moved, it didn't take me long to figure that they must have flipped around at the end of each day. I looked over at his dressers where he had things from his wall-room placed. All of the furniture was mahogany wood.

"y/n! There you are! I see your leg is all healed up!" He gave me a hug and seemed happy but his tone sounded nervous.

"yeah, Bruno are you okay? You seem...nervous," I broke the hug and held his shoulders.

"No, well, yes but that's besides the point...you need to see something" he motioned for me to go sit in the large circle and I did.

Bruno finished pouring the sand and had sat down. Abuela was standing outside of the circle and watching us. I looked at Bruno and he gave me a reassuring smile before his eyes glowed green. The sand started swirling around us and it gave me déjà vu from when I had done this with Mirabel.
