Y/n walked out into the night to take a walk in the silent moonlit streets of mondstadt.

As she was walking towards the gate a group of hilichurls jumped out.
Y/n groaned. She couldn't even take a walk without having to fight.

Of course y/n claimed a vision (mainly cus she's y/n and girl boss) and it flickered as she summoned her *weapon of choice* and slashed it across the hilichurls chest, immediately dropping to the floor with a *splat* and disintegrating into thin air

Y/n didn't expect someone to jump out from the shadows and slash the rest of the hilichurls in one go.

She couldnt see the person as they moved with great speed until he finally stopped in front of her.
"Are you alright? " he said.
Her lips parted in a O shape as she recognized the hair and the voice.
"Master diluc? " y/n finally managed to say looking him up and down.

"I'm quite capable of defending myself" y/n said when she realized she was staring and crossed her arms looking up.

"Really? I thought all knights of favonius scum couldn't kill a slime" he said sarcastically turning to walk away, sounding almost a bit hurt by your bluntness.

"Wait" y/n blurted out after him

"You still saved me, so thank you I guess.. "

Diluc wanted to say something rude back but he didn't. Maybe it was your eyes, your face, everything about you. The way you were always proud and independent, the way you looked at him differently than everyone else even from a distance. The way he felt warm on the inside whenever he just walked past you, even if he was always cold towards you and hated your guts.

"Whatever." he said looking down.

"Dont take this the wrong way I still hate you" y/n said as she walked away.

Diluc scoffed and got back to patrolling the area, questioning why he was looking forward to seeing you again.

The next day

Y/n woke up with her h/l all over the place looking scruffy and dirty as if she hasn't brushed it out in ages.

She quickly got up and brushed it before getting dressed into her clothes and putting her *element* vision proudly on her *p/o/c* .

she walked out of her house tired and wobbly since she barely had any sleep last night.

Y/n walked in with her head low and slowly walked into her office on the second floor.

She practically fell down into the chair falling deeper into it as if she was falling into an endless void.

She was slowly falling asleep.

"Y/n! "

Someone walked in saying her name almost in a teasing manner.

Y/N jumped up looking up at the figure looming over her, one hand on his hip and the other on her messy desk.

"Let's get a drink at the tavern today. You don't look good so let's cheer you up" kaeya said looking out of the window behind you then back at you.

"Why not. Staying in one place isn't gonna do me any good. " she replied.

Y/n said as she stood up and walked towards the door her shoulders hunched and arms flapping around.

"Let me help you" kaeya suggested as he walked towards her and put one arm around her waist pulling y/n closer to him.

Y/n didn't mind tho. Instead she blushed and looked down hoping he couldn't see her face. If she wasn't so tired she wouldve argued saying she could handle herself but she was internally blushing at how physical kaeya was with her.

At the tavern

Kaeya and y/n arrived kaeya still holding her by the waist giving glares to anyone who stared at her.

Six fingered Jose exclaimed happily as they walked in "Mr kaeya and miss y/n Would you like to hear a song? " however the both of them declined kindly hoping he would leave them alone as neither of them really liked his songs.

Y/n looked around having not been there for a while.

"Heyy what would you two be having today? " the bartender said smiling at them as he was cleaning a cup.

"I will have a bottle of sparkling dandelion wine. What about you sweetheart?" Kaeya asked as he pulled y/n closer into him staring right into her eyes while saying the last sentence. "I'll have the same " she said looking away blushing hard at his nickname.

Y/n was too tired to argue with kaeya and honestly just wanted to drink.

Suddenly the door opened and diluc walked in and saw kaeya running his fingers up and down y/ns waist and her trying to cover her blushing face.

He sighed in annoyance and walked back behind the counter. He honestly didn't care about y/ns love life and he wouldnt be surprised if she got with kaeya. Two idiots belong together after all.

"Here's your drinks" the bartender said as he gave both of them a bottle of wine.

Just as y/n was starting to drink a knight came in looking around.

"Sir kaeya! " he said finally finding who he was looking for.

"There's been an emergency and acting grand master Jean needs you at the headquarters. Please go and see her sir"

Kaeya sighed in frustration and looked at you with sad eyes.

Placing his hand on yours he said "I'm sorry. Do you want me to walk you home? You need to rest" he said sternly looking into your eyes.

"She'll be fine. If she causes any trouble like the dumbass she is I'll deal with it for her lazy ass" Diluc said walking over to their table, and you look up at him angrily due to his name calling.

"Ah thank you. Please if you need me get someone to get me" kaeya said looking at diluc then back at you.

He leaned in and gave you a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the tavern.

"So" said diluc his attention fully on you.
