Why am i so nervous

I entered the tavern looking around curiously.

Ive never really looked around properly. Forget it nows not the time

"You came" dilucs voice came from behind the bar while he occupied himself with cleaning the cups.

Oh my god why is he so hot.

His hair was in a high ponytail and he wore a plain button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a black sleeveless button up blazer and black trousers.

"Hey to you too" i replied in a sarcastic tone.

"The tavern is about to close lets get going" he said as he opened the door waiting for me to leave.

"So how are we going to do this? You know we couldve gotten a horse instead and we wouldve gotten here sooner but now its dark and we wont really be able to see. What if one of us gets hurt?"

"Exactly. Its dark, nobody would want to go on dragonspine while its dark and dangerous and you wont be able to see anything. Its the perfect time for fatui to come here and do whatever they please"

"Right that makes sense" you quietly muttered to yourself.

"Hey over here" you called out for diluc while raising your torch.

This is fun

You held back the urge to swing it around incase you accidentally smack diluc across the face and set him on fire.

You found a ripped piece of clothing.

Diluc took it from you to examine it closer.

"This looks like a part of a uniform. Wait i think theres a badge; its a bit damaged but i can make out a word.. hyenjin. The rest is dirty." He put the piece of cloth in his coat pocket.

"Lets keep looking."

You nodded even tho you knew he couldnt really see you.

You decided to go look around albedos lab.

The blood was still on the wall but it was now a darker shade of red and it seemed to have dried.

"This is going to take a while" you said to particularly nobody while looking around the trashed lab.

You started off by trying to clean up the mess.

While lifting the crafting table off the ground and placing it back down the way its meant to be you noticed something reflecting to the light of your torch on the floor.

Kneeling down you picked up the object and inspected it closely.

Without a doubt. Its a delusion. How would someone loose their delusion and not realise? Were they not using it in battle? Unless the people who were abducted put up quite a fight which i hope they did, and disarmed their opponent. Unless it came from one of the knights, but that would be impossible none of the simple knights that were here had any sort of vision. Ughh this is so confusing. However its obvious the fatui were in a rush, or the recruits were really clumsy. Whatever, i got to keep searching. Ill just put anything i find in my pocket.
You then put the pyro delusion in your pocket.

------- a few hours later--------

You and diluc kept searching for the next couple of hours but neither of you found anything else thats been left behind.

"Come on lets start heading back. Its going to be morning soon and both of us need some rest. You can crash at the winery if youd like, ill get adelinde to prepare your room."

And the two of you quietly set off, too tired to say anything and just enjoying each others company.
