you thought to yourself while fiddling with your knights of favonius badge thats been given to you when you joined the knights.

why am i so nervous i literally spoke to him earlier. right i got this.

you gently knocked on the door as if afraid if you knocked any harder it would shatter and break into smithereens. 

''how may i help you?'' the head maid, which you assumed to be adelinde, answered the door smiling warmly at you.

''is diluc here?'' you asked, slightly fixing your posture.

''yes he is. I'll go get him for you please wait here'' Adelinde replied before hurrying off.

''how can i help? oh its you.'' diluc eyed  you  curiously.

''do you need anything?''

how do i tell him kaeya asked me to get him to help me with this investigation about the fatui? Actually you know what scrap that he doesnt need to know Kaeya asked me.

''i need your help.'' 

Dilucs eyes momentarily widened before he frowned and leaned against the doorframe.

''come in'' he suddenly said before gently grabbing my hand and pulling me inside.

''so, enlighten me. what is it that you, a member of the almighty knights of favonius, need my help with?'' Diluc asked extending the word 'enlighten' while sitting down on one of the couches infront of the large fireplace and patting the empty place next to him as if motioning for me to sit down.

Diluc looked at you with an unreadable expression, but his face was slowly going red so you assumed he was flustered.

''when me and kaeya got to the rest of the group i wasnt feeling well so i went to get air and he went with me just in case but just as we left we heard screaming and when we got back everyone was gone and there was blood everywhere, so thats that and no kaeya didnt get kidnapped.''

you could see Dilucs face relax as he sighed.

''fine ill help you, but ive got somewhere to go first. come find me at the tavern before it closes and we can go to dragonspine to investigate. I'll escort you back to Mondstadt, lets go.''
