Anyway to the story

"It's so cold" I said crossing my hands across my chest in an attempt to keep myself warm.

Suddenly I felt something heavy on my shoulders.

"Have this it should keep you warm" diluc said next to me.

Did he give me his coat

"But won't you be cold?" I asked him giving him a side glance.

"I'll be fine I have a pyro vision after all"

I hummed in response.

We were nearly at albedos camp when a knight ran to us.

"Knight y/n your here!" He shouted as he ran up to us and took a few seconds to regain his breath.

"So what's going on" I asked putting a hand on the knights shoulder.

" we don't really know. There's an invisible force field around the mountain that made all the creatures flee. So far we found nothing." The knight suddenly noticed the presence next to me. " master diluc?! What are you doing here? " he asked bewildered by dilucs presence.

"It doesn't matter I'll take my leave now. " before anything else could be said diluc took off in another direction probably still in pursue of that fatui agent.

"Welp let's get going. Where is everyone right now? " I asked.

"We are having a little break at albedos lab. " the knight said as he started walking and I followed closely behind.

"Right. Also I didn't catch your name" I said in realisation.

"Oh uh my names, Daniel. " he said and I found it a bit odd how it took him so long to remember his own name and how he looked around panicking.

"Right." I added, eyeing him suspiciously.

------at albedos camp------

''y/n- y/n~'' kaeya said walking up to me. his eyes widened for a second before relaxing and he had a smirk on his face.

''what'' i asked looking behind me.

''whos coat are you wearing'' he teased crossing his arms.

i blushed as i realized what he was talking about.

i looked behind me to look for daniel to try and escape the awkward situation.

''who are you looking for?'' kaeya asked me.

''daniel'' i replied.

''who?''

i turned around to look at him dumbfounded. 

''he works as a knight, hes the one who came for me to guide me here'' i said.

''y/n theres nobody in the knights who is called that. ''

''no there should be- he told me you guys were on a break- he- he should be here'' i trailed off as i desperately looked around.

my eyes trailed down to the snow covered floor. why is there only one pair of footprints? i swear he was with me  when i got here.

''are you feeling ok? are you sure you dont have a fever?'' kaeya asked slightly concerned, while looking me up and down.

''im fine.'' i replied looking him in the eyes.

''if you say so. lets get going now, the others are probably waiting.'' kaeya replied as he started walking off.
