In Love With You (Diluc X Reader)

strange occurence

''ah your here'' albedo said as me and kaeya walked up to the group of knights that were standing in a circle discussing what was currently happening. 

Kaeya left my side to go to albedo and i squeezed in between him and another knight.

i wasnt really paying attention to what they were talking about, too caught up in my own thoughts.

theres no way i imagined it. Diluc was with me he also saw him. He might be a fatui. But why would someone from the fatui guide me to a place with a lot of knights who could spot him and catch him. unless this was all a trap and the fatui wanted most of the knights somewhere where its hard to get to and have them all in one place so their all easy to trap. why would the fatui need to trap us though? what could the fatui possibly want from the knights of favonius thats so important?

''-n? y/n are you there?'' i shook my head as i snapped back to reality. 

''are you sure your ok? do you have a fever? are you warm enough?'' kaeya asked, pressing his palm against my forehead to check if i have a temperature.

''im fine, i just need to go somewhere quieter. do you mind if i leave for a few minutes?'' 

''no of course not. ill come with you just in case.'' he replied, grabbing my hand and dragging me to a quieter place.

we spent a few minutes  in comfortable silence before hearing distant screams coming from albedos camp.

I  looked at kaeya as we made eye contact and words were transmitted. we both nodded before manifesting our weapons and running towards the location the screams were coming from.

we stopped as we entered the trashed place. 

chemicals were splattered everywhere and the table was flipped over. 

torn books were lying around and there were splatters of blood on the wall.

''what happened here..''  i whispered, my voice shaking.

''we need to go. now.'' kaeya commanded his voice so sharp yet you could hear a hint of despair.

before i could say anything he grabbed my hand and opened his map teleporting us to the favonius head quarters.

without waiting for me he entered Jeans office.

''everyone in department K aside from me and y/n have been abducted.''

Jean in response abruptly stood up.

'' gather a team from the investigative department and go back. we need to figure out where they are before its too late. this is my fault i shouldve went with you im sorry.'' Jean patted Kaeyas shoulder before leaving her office off to wherever she was going.

''what should i do?'' i asked reluctantly.

''you said someone guided you to us didnt you?'' kaeya asked not looking at me as i entered the office.

''mhm''

''you were walking with diluc werent you?'' 

''yes''

''go find him and tell him what happened. i need you two to figure out who that was and who he works for. how you will do that i dont know figure it out yourself. now if you excuse me i must get going.'' he flipped his cape as he walked out and we had eye contact for a split second. his eyes were cold and manic and i couldnt find him in them. 

what happened to him? meh

i shrugged before taking my map out and teleporting to dawn winery. i just hope diluc got back by now.
