Sarah's pov

Moma is sleeping and I'm getting ready to go to the restaurant.

I don't know why I still treat her like "mom." Because she definitely doesn't fill that role.

Anyway, I still have some, just a little bit of respect for her because she's still the woman who raised me.

Today, I woke up at 7 a. m because I had to go to the kennel early.
Meanwhile, she's been asleep all day. All I know is that yesterday she didn't sleep at home. I have no idea where she stayed.

It's 7 p. m. when I leave the house.
My shift starts at 7:30 p. m. and since the restaurant is close to home I still have some time.
I pass by an ice cream parod and buy a vanilla ice cream, my favorite one.

When I get to the Ruby's restaurant, I see Tony, and I guess he hasn't finished his shift yet.

Tony is my partner from work that I hate because he's always flirting with me, and I've said many times that I don't want to have anything to do with him but he doesn't give up.

Anyways, when he sees me, he immediately opens a yellow smile. Ugh

- Hi Sarah! You're too beautiful to be true. - He says as soon as I walk through the counter to get into the storage room to change my clothes.

- Hello Tony. Thank you. Shouldn't you have finished your shift by now? Now it's my turn. - I ask him.

- No, fortunately, the boss asked me if I could stay later today and here I am. - he says

- Fortunately?? Don't you want to get home??

- No when you'll be here... - He throws me one of those looks I hate

Oh God... This is going to be a long night. A very long night.

Finnally my shift ends and I'm getting home

It's 11 p. m. now and I'm leaving Ruby's from the backs because I have to take the trash out
When I open the back door I bump against Mark's chest.

- Mark!! Oh my God! You scared me you idiot! What are you even doing here anyways? - I ask him with a bit of surprise

- I came here to take you home. I'll not lett you go home alone at this hours. - he says it

- Ok then.... Let me jus---Tony shows up in my back and looks at Mark with an arrogant look

- What are you doing here Mark? - he asks to MY friend

What does he even have to do with it?

- What do you have to do with it bro? - Mark says what I was thinking

- I would like to take Sarah home. - wtf? No you wouldn't

- Yeah... Let me think... - Mark puts his hand in his chin - No, that'll not happen.

- Let's go. - Mark starts walking to his car and I start to follow him

In the next second all I see it's Tony full of blood in the floor

- Mark!! What the hell!!??!! - I scream and run to Tony

- I just punched him. He grabbed you - He says in a loving voice

- Shut up

The first thing I do is check his pulse and it's ok.
The next thing is take him to the hospital
