Y/n P.O.V
"Vi!" I almost yelled while slamming my hand onto the surface of the table. Vi had completely gone into a state where she wasn't responding- even Mylo was a little concerned. I guess her spacing out wasn't normal. Had she gotten an injury during the run? "H-huh?! Yes?" She finally said with the spark back in her eyes. I sighed with relief as I put down the rest of my meal. "Are you feeling okay? Did you hit your head?" I asked while leaning forward in my seat. "Here, have the rest. I'm full." I offered. Vi took the plate with a smile but shook her head. "I'm alright, Amber. Just taking in your features so I can remember you better." She started while slipping a fish into her mouth.
I couldn't help but chuckle at the happy expression on her face as she ate. I should buy the whole gang dinner someday with the leftover money in my bag, yeah. Suddenly, Vi was staring at me confused. "Hey, why are you laughing?" She asked while squinting her eyes. With a shake of my head, I neatened my posture. "Nothing, Vi. Continue." I told her before she shrugged. I noticed Mylo watching us from the side. He looked shocked but at the same time very confused. Was it me? Vi? Either way, I shifted my gaze back to her, and Vi had already finished her food. "Hmph, anyway, yeah. Just trying to remember your face, but there's something we've got to change about you..." She explained, now getting very close, her face almost a breath away from mine. I felt something warm rise to my cheeks. Was I blushing? Yes. Did I want to push Vi away? Not really- not like earlier when I was terrified of her. I noticed the gashes and scars on her face, some were old and some were from the fight today.
Her hair was somehow still kind of neat after the fight. I'm envious...Then, I considered her words. Something they need to change about me? Was there something wrong with how I looked? With a little overthinking, and feeling a little offended, I spoke. "Are you saying that I'm ugly?" I asked sharply. Vi's jaw dropped slightly along with her eyes that widened. She shook her head and stood to sit beside me, her body now closer to mine. "N-no! I'm not saying that-" "She thinks you're pretty. She doesn't want you getting hurt." Mylo interrupted as he looked between us with a smirk. In an instant, Vi turned to him and made an angry facial expression. Immediately, Mylo turned away and kept on playing toss with the wall, and Vi turned back to me.
She sighed. "Listen, I'm not saying that you're ugly," She started, now examining my jaw, ears, hands, and hair. "You're just too recognizable. You've got Piltie clothes. Black dress pants, gold jewelry and all." She ended, now looking at my bag. I turned back to look at it and brought it forward. "You got any extra clothes? I mean, you must have gotten the time to pack before leaving, right?" Vi asked while pointing at my bag. Remembering the spare shirt and pants, I nodded and took them out. I carried the cloth in front of Vi, letting her examine them. She hummed while taking the garments out of my hands. "Could this outfit tie you to anyone?" The pink-haired female questioned while giving me a side glance. At that beat, Powder entered the door with a bundle of trinkets and laid down on her bed. She pulled out a little box of crayons and started putting things together. I turned back to Vi and looked at the clothes and realized, they were a little revealing. The tank top had a little cleavage and was made from silk. The jeans, on the other hand, were so torn up that they could be considered to be shorts. The hole reached from the mid-thigh, all the way down to the mid-calf! How was I supposed to function in something like that? Cargo pants would have suited much better, but remembering my mother's profession, it made sense. After all, it was her old clothes.
I scratched my cheek and smiled nervously. "... Those are my mother's, sorry." I replied, trying to give Vi a 'that's all I have' look. "Alright then, let me see if I got something," Vi said and gave the clothes back. While I put the bag away Vi took a somewhat, large box out from under the bed and started rummaging through it. Was she getting clothes? I stood and went beside her. "I'm okay though! I can just go buy some-" I protested before something was shoved into my chest. Looking down at Vi, she smiled. "I'll show you the bathroom." The girl said before shoving the box back under the bed and leading me outside.
I entered the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror for the first time in a while. The last time I saw myself was in Piltover. My hair was so messy, I could barely run my fingers through it. I turned on the sink and splashed some cold water onto my face. I could feel the filthy layer of makeup and dirt remove itself from my skin slowly, but surely. After I washed my face, I heard someone knock on the door. "You done yet?" Vi's voice asked from the other side. I panicked and instantly started removing my pants. "A-almost! Just a moment!" I yelled from my side as I got the new set of clothes on me.
