Standing outside Silco's office, I watched as Sevika walked down the hall and disappear down to the bar. Thinking that the place was empty, I walked in but saw Jinx sitting on Silco's desk. Well, it was more like she was laying down with a knife way too near her neck. "I-I don't need time." She said as I walked up to her. As soon as she spotted me, she hugged me by the waist, leaning her whole body on me. The man side-eyed us and sighed. "Take it anyhow." He shot back, making Jinx tighter her grip on me. "Ugh!" She groaned, letting go of me and storming off, the door slamming behind her.
There was an awkward silence and the air felt tense. Then, Silco turned to me and looked up at me expectantly. "What seems to be the issue? If you've come to tell me what happened today, then I've already been enlightened." He told me, rubbing his temples. Still feeling grumpy from my argument with Sevika, I sighed. "No, I've just come to tell you that I'm sorry for" "It was Sevika's responsibility, don't beat yourself up for her mistake, Y/n." Silco cut me off, surprisingly. Normally, he would wave me off without a second thought. This felt different, this wasn't exactly right? "Is something bothering you, Silco?" I asked him, concerned. "He looked at me and shook his head. "Everything is quite alright, my Y/n. What bothers me is that you're back so soon. You said you'd get me something from topside." He said, making me try to avoid his gaze. Stepping back a little, I chuckled nervously. "Haha, about that..." I started, fiddling with the ruffles on my shirt. "The uh, accident, happened. Would you like me to fetch dinner?" I asked while shaking my money purse. "I can get that fancy topside food." I sang before he turned to me in an instant. "Very well. Off you go." He said before he gave patted my shoulder with a small smile.

I let out a laugh as I left my father figure's office. He was always fond of topsider food because down here, there weren't many options. The food was either the same food vendors or fruits and vegetables. Spices were eh, different, so I liked topside food. Topside being, well, topside, there were alleys below Piltover with staircases leading up. Of course, you'd need a pass, but I already look the part so I was let through easily.
The stairs slowly changed from sturdy wood to brick, then painted concrete. I was surprised my heels weren't completely ruined, putting a huge grin on my face. As I passed by the many citizens of Piltover, they gave me weird stares. They looked at my clothes as if I wasn't part of this place. Sure, it wasn't full Piltover, but I've got the heels and hopefully the etiquette. At the same time, I tried my best to avoid the enforcers because I am a criminal in their books. Even then, I'm not considered "arrest-worthy" because I have the money to sway them. I mean, it's a good thing to have, but it's pretty weird.

Walking up to a food stand, I ordered for the little family plus something for Sevika. After waiting for what seemed like forever, I finally had my food and it was placed in a cute bag. The sky was a beautiful orange and pink, and it was the perfect time to walk around. I thought I had heard some whooshes and fast footsteps, but brushed them off.
After a moment of admiring the scenery and buildings, I spotted a group of enforcers smoking. Feeling my heart race, I took a step back. I'd be dead if they all saw me, but then, a small hand whisked me away and into an alleyway. My reflexes turned on and I managed to pin the person to the wall, but make sure the food landed safely. I held my tied dagger to the culprit, only to realize that it was Jinx. My expression softened in a flash. "Jinx?" I questioned, loosening my grip on her. "Yup!" She whispered back and hugged me. "Couldn't help but whisk you away. Is that dinner?" She asked while looking at the ground. I nodded and looked outside. "Silco wasn't feeling for undercity food today. What are you doing here? You normally don't go without me?" I asked back, putting away my weapon into my back pocket. The blue-haired girl looked at me with a little frown. "I want to show Silco that I'm not weak!" She hissed, taking me deeper into the alleyway.

Confused, I stopped her. "Weak? You're not weak! Why would Silco ever think that of you?" I reasoned, making her look at me. She looked at me sadly. "Well, Silco-" "Fuck Silco! If you're doing this to make him happy-" "Y/n!" She cut me off. I looked at her, her expression was determined with a grin. "I will steal something, just like you! I've seen you do it a million times and I- Oh the fire's started!" She said as the smell of smoke filled the air. She looked giddy before she waved me goodbye, blowing a kiss.
I chuckled as I blew one back. Ah, Jinx, always doing something suspicious. I huffed as I grabbed the food and started walking back down to the staircase which lead to the undercity. I swear, people up here were blessed with such fresh air.
