"You what?!" Vi yelled, her eyes wide. Out of fear, I walked a few steps back. "We had no other choice- you can punch me if you want to I-" "It's fine, Amber." Vi cut me off, her hand resting between her eyebrows, currently in thought. I collected myself and sighed. "Are you sure it's fine? People wanted what was in the bag, so it must've been valuable, am I wrong?" I asked, trying to bend down a little to see her face. "I said it's fine, okay?" She shot at me. A little startled, I nodded and looked to the side, avoiding her gaze.
"What do you mean you lost the stuff?!" The brunette male practically yelled into Powder's face, clearly very irritated. I was about done with his complaining by now so I started walking closer, but Vi got there first. "The bag is gone, Mylo. Let it go," Vi said before looking at me. Mylo had a disappointed look on his face as he scoffed. I looked back at Vi as I fixed my hair. "May I... ask why you're following us?" She asked, now with a look of curiosity. I looked around for a moment, then exhaled. "I... I'm delivering some herbs!" I lied while trying to put together something that would hopefully, be believable. Vi looked at me as if she was waiting for more. "My father lives in the undercity so I decided to pay him a visit during my errands!" I started, trying to think of something else to add on. "If I remember correctly, he lives close to the Last Drop? I think that's what the place was called." I ended with a soft smile.
Vi looked a little surprised but nodded. "Alright then, Amber. Let's go, stay close." She said before leading us somewhere.

As I walked alongside Powder, and as Vi and Mylo bickered, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see the male with goggles. Though he looked strong, he seemed so gentle at the touch. "Y/n is your name, right?" He asked politely. I nodded and stretched my hand out. "Mhm, how about you?" I asked back. "Claggor." He said plainly. Tilting my head, I chuckled. "Alright, Claggor. Nice to meet you." I said while shaking his hand. It was rough, but it had a warm and comforting feel. His smile reminded me of those friendly bears in children's books.
The longer we walked, the sun started sinking into the horizon, reaching the other side of this world. Like always, the sunset was beautiful, but with all the smoke appearing once we got closer to the undercity, it wasn't visible anymore. It was like someone spilled ashes onto a beautiful painting.

"So I get beat up and stuff, but Powder just gets a pass?!" Mylo ask-yelled at Vi as she opened a large door. "Yup" The pink-haired girl answered flatly as we got in. While taking a closer look at everything, I realized it was an elevator. Though the metal pattern looked nice, the rust and papers stuck onto it made it look lifeless. As the elevator lowered itself, nobody spoke, making it awkward as all I could do was stare at the floor.
"Every time..." Mylo started. "Every time she comes something goes wrong!" He exclaimed, gesturing to her. I made brief eye contact with the male before he continued while facing Vi's back. "She jinxes every job!" He whined, eyebrows furrowed. My eyes watched Vi from the side as she huffed. "Just drop it, Mylo." She ordered while trying to keep her cool. Suddenly, we could see the entire city from high up. Never in a million years would I think the Undercity was actually underground! Some people looked at us, making Vi pull up her hood with me following suit.

As we got out, my ears were blasted with the chit-chat the people were making. There was laughing, yelling, whispering, normal talking, blacksmiths at work, shops cutting up fish or vegetables, and music of all sorts. My eyes couldn't help but wonder all over the place. I hadn't seen anything like it before, I was... I was amazed.

The night lights, the tall, dark buildings, the dozens of bars, and even the little fights going on the alleys. The neon lights practically boomed into my face, letting me know that this city was more alive at night. As we got deeper and deeper into the crowd, I felt someone grab my hand. Thinking it was some creepy old dude, I tried tugging my hand away. "Do you want to get lost here or?" I heard from slightly above. With a closer inspection of the hand holding mine, I relaxed at the sight of stained wrappings. It was Vi. Vi? My eyes darted up at her as I tried keeping a straight face. She smiled. "I know you're afraid. You'll get used to it. Just don't be a lone wolf or something, then you're definitely screwed." She said before leading me further and deeper into her world. We passed by many places- even a brothel was down here.
