I am awaken by my brother, who is yelling and jumping on my bed. " it's Christmas! It's Christmas." I try my best not to scream, instead I just roll over and cover my ears. My brother , Joseph, is very loud in his nature. A dirty-blond with light green eyes and a laugh that could make the coldest of hearts smile. I get up, wash my face, and get dressed. I put on my blue shirt and some old blue jeans. I tie my loose curls into a messy bun, and head over to the kitchen for some breakfast. " Good morning , Lin. How was the party yesterday," my mother greets me, handing me a bagel while doing so. I sit down on the kitchen couch and begin telling her all about my day, until we are interrupted by Tina, who just woke up, and surprisingly, is chanting some Christmas carols. " Ready for our shopping trip, Lindsay? You know we have a lot to do, " her eyes light up when she mentions our long awaited shopping spree. I just nod and stand up, letting her know that I was ready. She stands up too, and points towards the door. Tina fishes out the car keys from her back pocket, clicks a little button that unlocks the car, and hops right in. I follow in her steps, taking my time to marvel at the great silver jeep. She races down the roads, occasionally having small talks with me , as the song Howling For You played in the background. As soon as our conversation ends, I find myself humming along, lost in the dizzying rythm that this song had. Suddenly, the car comes to an abrupt hault, and I realize I've had my eyes closed for about 10 minutes. We finally arrive, Tina chooses the closest place to the exit to park, and we embark on our journey. We rummage through every single store, trying on every dress and sweater, and sometimes even skirts. This whole routine is carried on for almost 3 hours, and then Tina sets her eyes on the most elegant red dress ever. She purchases it , and runs along searching for a cute red sweater for me. After 20 minutes, she finds an adorable sweater with a reindeer plastered on its chest area. We purchase it and head on over to a restaurant for some lunch.
