Home has never felt so unusual. I miss Vinie already , even though we'd only been seperated for  almost four hours. It is almost time for dinner, but I can barely get myself away from the tv. My safe haven- also known as my couch- is the greatest company anyone could ever ask for . I am watching Underemployed, but not really focusing that much. Today has been so eventful. With the hand-holding, the talks we had , and everything else. I think it is officially safe to say , I am starting to fall in love .

A knock on the door pulls me right out of my reverie. Who would come over at 8:00 p.m ? I'm sure it isn't Will or Jenna, they would've called me before doing so. It could be Wanda though, she lives right next door and she comes over all the time. I get up as slow as I can manage, and almost crawl towards the door. To my surpise, he is here. He is standing in my doorway , waiting to be invited in . He knows where I live, and he is actually here. We stand in silence, facing each other , for what almost feels like forever, until he finally breaks it.

" Hey , Lindsay." A smile is etched on his face, and he has his hands in his front pockets.

" Hey! What are you doing here?" My tone is so awe-struck it makes him laugh.

" I was in the neighborhood, and I thought I'd drop by , I ... I miss you."

Gone with the heart-aches of my past, I was letting all of it go . My focus is on Vinie now. He is just perfect, and I am willing to get involved thoroughly this time. " Oh, you want to come in then?" I ask excitedly, maybe too excitedly.  He reluctantly nods, and follows in my lead.

I point at the couch awkwardly, inviting him to sit down. I am then caused to blush , after remembering that I am in my fuzzy stay-in pajamas, and my hello-kitty slippers. Had I known he'd be here , I would've worn something slightly less embarassing , and more appealing. His smile is spread from ear to ear, probably mocking my silly costume. " Nice pajamas, teddy bear." He's already giving you nicknames! my inner-voice is poking around in my brain, doing a happy dance. Stop it ! I order it immediately. " You should've warned me that you're coming, would've dressed...better." I am gesturing with my hands way too much, and I probably look like a maniac. " No! I like you this way , you're cute," He blushes too , and I am actually glad. I hate being the only one to turn red in a conversation. He just admitted that he likes you! IT is back, dancing around. It can become so devistating, my inner voice. " So, what were you doing?" He looks around while saying it , as if examining the house. " Well, I was watching Underemployed, but was planning on switching to Crazy, Stupid, Love , you up for it ?" I say as I casually take a seat next to him, but not too close. I respect his personal space , kind of like he respects mine. " Sure , we should do that," he replies in a heart-beat, as if taking no time to think about it . That is what I exactly love about him, he wants me to feel comfortable around him, and respects my choices. " Perfect, you look for it in the pile of DVDs under the tv, and I'll make some popcorn, you want coffee?" There is a faint silence before he replies, " Sure."

The movie starts with Cal and Emily Weaver awkwardly having dinner at a restaurant. Cal is complaining about having filled up on two much bread and notices that his wife seems a bit off . Now, I've watched this movie so many times, but I still find it amazing every single time I watch it . Vinie claims that he's never seen it, and it find it so hard to believe, I mean it is Steve Carell for crying out loud! We are sharing pop-corn , so I find him ocassionally reaching for a handful . My parents are out of town today , something that has to do with church activities, and Tina is staying over at  Jenna's. " This seems interesting, seriously," Vinie whispers. " Told you , now watch." I order playfully.

Emily and Cal are now at a parent-teacher conference, and this scene is quite hilarious. I find Vinie laughing slightly whenever a funny scene comes up , and that intrigues me . His laugh is so warm and comforting, I just love it . We are now sitting closer than we were before, and I kind of like it that way. He makes me feel safe, no matter how absurd that probably sounds.

Time flies by incredibly fast, and we have reached Robbie , Cal's son's, speech . It is actually really funny, but then he gets interrupted by Cal . He also delivers a heart-warming speech. " This is actually really sweet," Vinie mutters. I find myself unable to resist the need to cuddle , so I move closer to him , and he reads the signs perfectly correct. His arm stretches out , and rests at my waist, pulling me closer. I am caught off-guard by his sudden display of affections . I look up into his deep brown eyes ,and he does the same thing. I can feel him breathing, and almost able to hear his heart beating. He tilts his head forward, closing in the space between us.  My heart is hammering against my chest, as if seeking a way out of it . He dips his head lower to my face, pressing his lips against mine gently. The kiss is so sweet and innocent, sending a wave of shock down my spine . It is exactly like I had imagined my first kiss to be, and I swear I almost heard the faint sound of fireworks in the distant, but realized soon that this is probably just my heart beating loudly. We sit there for a period of time no longer than 5 minutes, just starting into each other's eyes, until finally, we are brought back to reality by the song Blood - The Middle East playing, declaring the end of the movie . " I love this song," I awkwardly yell out , trying so desperately to break the silence that has clouded over us. He nods slightly and smiles, while gently tightening his grip around my waist, and that gave me tingles. I was almost ready to utter the words I love you , but I had a feeling that it won't be appreciated from neither sides. " Lindsay, I should really get going, it is almost 11," He complains apologetically. " Can't you stay , just for five minutes? please...?" I hold onto his arm , pleading like a little kid . " Fine, just five minutes, okay?" I clap my hands dramatically, and hug him gently. He sits back on the couch , and opens up his arm , ushering me to sit down next to him. I do as I am ordered , gladly, and he pulls me closer to him. We sit in silence for the five minutes he'd promised he'd spend with me , just enjoying each other's presence.

" I'll see you tomorrow in school, okay?" He is leaning against the door-way , looking me straight in the eye . " Fine, drive carefully , please," I answer, moving closer to him. He pecks me gently on the lips , and I giggle like an infant. I have to get used to all of  this, because I feel like pretty soon we are going to be an item . " Bye," He is walking towards his car, and waving at the same time. Soon enough, he speeds off into the unknown, and I am left to marvel at his surreal effect on me in silence.
