It took a while, but I managed to get one of the gourds that Lord Goe gifted us at the spring festival. I'm sure that Yohan, Beom, Lord Baek, and Lady Shin finished off one bottle. I'm still surprised that we had eleven gourds left. Well, ten considering I carried one gourd on a tray with two small ceramic cups. I already know that Yohan would deny it if I didn't bring any snacks. The cooks suggested chrysanthemum cakes to go with it. Alcohol and food. I even wore my nightgown from Batoise under my robe.
Standing before Yohan's bedroom door, I took a deep breath. I have to keep a leveled head. I can't let myself get swept away by him.
Not tonight.
"Yohan...?" I slid open the door and saw him sitting with his leg propped up smoking from his pipe.
He looked up at me before looking away with rosy cheeks. I guess he's still a bit embarrassed about what happened at dinner.
"I thought we could have a drink together." I stepped into the room before closing the door behind me.
Yohan furrowed his eyebrows in suspicion.
"And don't worry. I brought-."
"Is that the wine Lord Goe brought as a gift?"
"Yes." I set the tray on the table. "And before you say anything, I brought some chrysanthemum cakes for us to eat.
"Only one cup." he blew a puff of smoke into the air above his head. "You will not be having two."
"That's fine." I'm not the one that's going to be drinking tonight anyway. This is all for you. After pouring him a cup, I set the small cup before him.
Yohan cautiously took the cup between his large fingers.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Do you think I did something to it?"
"You are acting very strange..." he took a sip.
"All I did was suggest we have a drink together."
"I'm not talking about that." he took another sip. "You...played with me under the table."
"Did you not like it?"
He blushed while looking away.
"I'm sorry." I poured myself a cup and took a sip. I then ate one of the chrysanthemum cakes. I know I've had this wine before but it's very sweet. Was it this sweet before? Yohan quickly finished off his cup before pouring another. I hadn't even drunk half of mine and he was downing it like it was water. I made sure to just have the wine touch my lips and nothing more. Untying the belt of my robe, I embraced the cool night air against my chest. Yohan lowered his eyes to my breasts before setting the cup on the table.
"When are you leaving? Tomorrow morning?" I asked.
"Yes." he held his cup to his lips. "I will put my meetings on hold for the moment." he sloppily reached for the gourd. How much wine is in there? I wish I knew how many ounces these cups could hold. It looks like no more than three ounces. Maybe four. He's already had about five cups so that's probably around twenty ounces or a little less. Will this even work? I know he's a demon but can demons even get drunk? Let alone intoxicated?
As he held the cup to his lips, he tilted the cup a little too far. The wine spilled onto his chest trickling down to his stomach. I know I've seen his body before but...he really does have a nice body.
"...Huh..." he looked perplexed as he gazed down at the empty cup. "...Did I drink it all?" a drunken smile grew on his face. He then looked down at his chest before laughing.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes...it...it is just wine..." he ran his fingers along his chest.
"Yohan...I think you've had enough."
