They were back on the road, this time with Kendall drove slow to avoid attention. She was still not old enough to get a driver's license.

"Please don't mind me talking like this." the young star returned to her stage accent. "No one knows this but my Mom."

"Yeah, we all know what it's like living with a mamager!" Kendall laughed behind the wheel, then her laugh disappeared. "Err... guys, are we expecting anymore pranks?"

"No. Why?" Adriana asked.

"Because I think we're being followed." Kendall staring at the rear mirror. "Grey Ford..."

"SUV, of course it is!" Chloe narrowed her eyes, it was accustomed to her that bad guys favorite SUVs. "Fasten your seatbelt."

"What's going on?" the young artist asked.

"Just for precaution."

The SUV pulled ahead, made a sudden ram to the right. Kendall already anticipated, hit break and pulled back, missing impact by inches, putting themselves behind the big vehicle.

"Jesus! Did they just try to..."

"Yup!" both girls confirmed. "Do you have any more enemies? Boyfriend you stole? Career you took over?"

"What do you think I am? I'm not that kind of person!" the young artist protested.

"What about your work? Conflict over a contract maybe?"

"My mother and my manager setup all the contracts, I never looked at them." Adriana held on to her seat. "Maybe it's another prank?"

"I don't see any cameras." Chloe added. "And no license plate!"

The SUV ahead suddenly break, expected for the girls to run into them, but Kendall pulled the rear break, swung the car away and made a narrow escape.

Stepping on the accelerator, Kendall put distance between them and the pursuer, the SUV was gaining from behind.

"Dame it! These guys are annoying!" Kendall complained behind the wheel.

"They're trying to kill us! Annoying is not the word!" the artist cried.

"Chloe, do you want me to run them down?"

"Is the car insured?"

"Of course it is!"

"Do it!"

"Okay, hold on!"

Kendall let the SUV catch up, until its front wheel passing her rear. She swung the tail left, slamming her rear hard into the SUV's steering, knocking it out of control.

From the rear window, Adriana watched the vehicle lost control, went off the road and crashed into the concrete fence at an angle.

"Dame, Kendall! Where did you learn to drive like that??"

"You should see her fly a plane!" Chloe said.

They returned to the hotel, and were greeted by the whole crew like a welcoming party. It was as though nothing has happened, Adriana stepped gracefully out of the car, waving to her crew like a star.

"Let's give applause to my new security team!" she swung her arm to Chloe and Kendall getting out, the crew crowded over them, congratulating like they have won an award.

"What happened to the boy in orange shirt?" Chloe asked.

"He's checking out at the hospital." Gail answered.

"I hope he's okay."

"Don't worry, that's what liability is for." Gail cocked her head. "Your clothes is messed up, you need to change."

Chloe only wrinkled her jacket, but the assistant insisted that she change, so she returned to the wardrobe and broke out a new set of clothes.

"Coming in." Don's voice came from outside, the one with dark hair. He popped in his head and saw Chloe covering herself. He snapped back out. "Sorry, I forgot you're new."

"No. It's okay." Chloe blushed.

She hasn't been in backstage for so long, she forgot that due to tight timing, stage crews are used to change in the open. She has only removed her jacket, she shouldn't make a big fuzz about it. It made her look like an amateur.

"Just wanna say, you did great out there." Don said behind the door. "Sorry we scared you. We didn't know you took it so seriously."

"I over reacted." Chloe made her own apology.

"That's it. I'll leave you alone."

"Don, wait!"

She hurried replace a new shirt and jacket, came out to catch the man.

"Does Adriana have any enemies? Not just a prank, but really wants her hurt?"

"She's a rising star. Lot of the competitors would like to see her removed." Don with dark hair shrugged casually.

"What about her contract? Any conflict on record companies? Movie deals?"

"What's this all about?"

Chloe explained the attack on their way back, the motive was aggressive, too risky for just a threatening message.

"Adriana's contract is reaching its end." Don said after thinking. "There are a lot of companies dying to take her."

"Can you get me a list of all the potential companies?" seeing the man giving her the look, she added. "I'm sorry. It's not my place to ask, but would you look into it? For Adriana's safety?"

Hearing the responsibility offered to his hand, the man gave a courtesy nod and left.
