To a galaxy far, far away, the planet of Jakku was nothing more than a wasteland, a deserted landscape filled with creatures of all shapes and sizes simply trying to make it day by day in the hopes of survival. To Tera Thorne, it wasn't much by any means, but it was home to the small life she'd grown accustomed to over the years. A place to work, earn her living, and spend the days of a simple existence tinkering away at anything the young mechanic could get her hands on.

However, when a top secret mission gone wrong leaves the self-proclaimed greatest pilot in the Resistance crash landing on her doorstep, Tera is offered the chance at something more. A life away from the one she's always known, a chance to use her skills to do something good, not only for herself, but for all of the New Republic.

All she has to do is leave everything she's ever known behind for a new life in the stars above.
